Reminds me of the time I fell in the nile drunk, possibly stoned too. Had been drinking on the river bank with another tour group, got invited back onto their felucca by a chick grabbed all my blankets and stuff(it was bloody cold) walked the plank up to theirs, was dodging all the ppl sleeping on the deck, leaned on the wall, forgetting the wall was just a sheet and toppled over into the water. Scrambled back to my boat, and froze the rest of the night until the Bedouin boat guy woke up hearing my teeth chattering and chucked a dry blanket on me. Ah the good old days

You didn't drink the water did you? I worked with some people who went for a holiday there and the tour guide said to drink the water because it's good luck or some shit. They ended up really sick for months afterwards, only saw them a couple of times after that.

Does anyone here have their mobile coverage on the Optus Network?

Thinking of changing provider but that means going from the Telstra network to Optus and I’m wary of a drop in service reliability

Do you still spend much time in Karratha mate?

I was on Optus when I moved back to Tom Price, it worked fine in town but as soon as I ventured out (eg. to the mine site I worked at), it dropped out a lot quicker than Telstra did.

Karijini is the exception, they’ve got coverage there where Telstra doesn’t. Most of the Pilbara is pretty much Telstra or bust outside of towns (I’ve just got back from a trip to Brockman and didn’t even get signal on a Belong who are a Telstra reseller, only mainline Telstra gets signal out there)
