I actually think Idiocracy is a good indication of what might happen to AIs. They're already struggling to find enough training data for the newer models, and the percentage of stuff online that is low quality AI generated crap is already sky-rocketing. These things are going to be training themselves on their own crap and get stuck in a doom loop.

Not convinced Never Tear Us Apart is even the best INXS song let alone the best Australian song ever though..

Don't Change for me. Whoever decided to put New Sensation on their short-list over that, costing it a top 100 spot, needs to be fired into the sun.

Overall though, top 100 was a better of a countdown with a spread of multiple eras and genres. I loved the trip down Oz music memory lane in Saturday.

I don't even hate Untouched at #3, very popular song with the Gen X ladies so MrsKK tells me.
It's a miles better song than some of the guff that is as bland as a Freomaniac post. Looking at you Innerbloom, Booster Seat and Confidence.

Hilltop Hoods are shithouse. I’ll never understand the appeal, but they seem ridiculously popular in this country.

I was thoroughly enjoying the countdown, even with the odd modern song I didn’t know or like, right up until the top three. That’s about the point when it changed from everything being “should have been higher” to “shouldn’t be this high”.

Hilltop Hoods deservedly with a high placing song IMO. Crossed over and popularised a genre where Aussie artists couldn't get a look in even with fans of the genre, let alone the mainstream. Made Hiphop relevant to Australians and showed it didn't have to be about guns, hoes and money ad nauseum.

I feel like you have to acknowledge the massive impact of HH on the Aussie music scene, even if they aren't your cup of tea musically.

mostly keen for the Scottish Highlands.

I went last year and fell in love.

The Three Sisters near Glencoe is genuinely the most breathtaking place I've ever been. We did a day tour from Glasgow up to Oban and Glencoe and it was amazing. Definitely will be going back one day.

Palsaik Namoo also does a good one but haven't been there for years, I am rarely in the mood for Korean BBQ but when I do Tong 86 is my go to, you can tell from all the Koreans that flock there.

Also consider Train To Pocha in Vic Park, does good dishes as well outside just BBQ.
