In the end he's just a bloke, just coz he plays for the team we follow doesn’t make him a good bloke. I'd be pretty confident that most Eagles and footy players are pretty dickish, after all they chase a ball for a living - it's unlikely you're going to get anything hugely intelligent from a lot of them. It's like thinking all Eagles fans are mates - I've met as many dickhead Eagles supporters as I have any other club.

I try to separate the art from the artist as much as is morally (dunno if that's the correct term) possible. Getting harder and harder to these days though.

Yeah, the alt-right love to use terms like "intolerant left" when anyone who is normally tolerant says that someone like Kirk is a s**tstain on society. But you only have to slightly change what tolerance is to explain this. If you - like Kirk - are intolerant of people for who they are, then you lose the protection of tolerance yourself.

The far-right are usually the intolerant ones - they hate people based on sexuality, or race, or religion - but the left don't hate you for those things - they hate you for your intolerance.

I haven’t gone far down the Charlie Kirk rabbit hole, infact never knew anything about what he did, but since his death and video clips have popped up he seemed like someone who was prepared to stick to his views and speak to anyone about there’s who wanted to talk to him. He also seemed to have valid points of view about most subjects. That’s what discussion and debate is about. Because you don’t like what he says doesn’t make him anything but someone with an opposing view.
