I'm sure I heard one of these about the tallest mountain or something to which the obvious answer was Everest but it ended up being some island in Hawaii that reaches so far below the water level that when you account for that it's taller than Everest.

Everest is highest above sea level. Mauna Kea is the biggest in overall size from its base (which is mostly underwater), whereas another mountain somewhere in South America is closest to the sun simply because the Earth bulges slightly at the Equator and it's closer to the Equator so technically reaches furthest into the sky (though not into space because the atmosphere also bulges proportionally with the Earth).

I was attached, I was a Shed member for 5 years. Fell out of love when Sagey almost sold the club to a crypto fraudster, plus Fox losing the rights to Paramount didn't help.

Tonight was the first game I've watched for a few years, I'll make an effort to get more involved again going forward I think. The dark days seem to be behind the club now.

Younger generations now grow up without the sort of cultural touchstones that we all enjoyed. Media is so dispersed and diffuse, whereas those of us over 35 all remember a time when TV shows, for example, were on at a certain time every week or every night and there was so little other choice that we all could reference the same things the very next day.
