I want whatever result will make it hardest for Freo to make the 8. Haven't worked out what that is. North have a fairly easy last few games (as long as they can knock off the Dockers at home) so maybe Essendon need to win this one.

You're probably right, a draw would put Freo half a game out of the 8, a win to either side would have them possibly in the 8 on percentage. Alright, draw it is!

The freo v north game will be pivotal. If north win then freo can only get to 13 wins.
North should beat gws so if they win against freo they'll have 13 wins at least plus their two points from a draw with essendon. I assume they'll lose to Collingwood
Essendon need to beat Richmond and Carlton to get to 13 plus the draw today also assuming the lose to Collingwood
So a draw is the best result. Failing that it's probably better for essendon to win since their upcoming games are a bit harder than norths
If freo beat north they'll most likely make finals as you'd expect them to beat Richmond and Melbourne at subiaco
