Decided to make separate threads as the two games are just too different. So this thread is purely for RDT trade talk.

For me… my first trade for the year will be Swan out. I don't know what is up with him but he looks unfit and he is spending a lot of time forward. I'm not going to sit around and hope he turns it around when he is so expensive so I'm cutting my losses.

Second trade will most likely be Laidler->Langdon.

Ended up using 1 trade last week, Mitchell > Swallow. However with hindsight it seems to be a solid move with Mitchell potentially out for multiple weeks and a good score from Swallow. 173K in the bank now.

My non-premium players currently:
Swallow, Suckling, Langdon, Langford, McDonald, Georgiou
Shiels, Tyson, Michie, Polec, Dunstan, Ellis
Sandilands, Hickey, Currie, (98k ruck)
Caddy, Higgins, Rohan, McDonough

Overall I'm pretty happy with most of them. I feel this enables me to fix a rookie and fix a premium.

That's right Swanny I'm looking at you (Cloke is also annoying me with 35 and 79...but what else is there up front? Cloke > Martin would just be wasting a trade. I'll hold. He'll come good). Carrying 3 Rd8 bye guys in the middle was always going to be a risk, ditching Swan I'm able to save a ton of cash with his 200+ BE and will help make the byes easier. Question is who do I offload Swanny to. Barlow, Scooter, Watson? I'll crunch the numbers and figure it out later. Whatever the case is, Swan is clearly playing a lot more time up front. We thought this may come at expense of his time on the bench and not midfield time, but it has clearly come all out of his midfield time. It is the end of the pig unfortunately. Reached the twilight of his career.

The rookie/mid-pricer I'll fix will probably be a forward rookie (most likely McDonough, maybe Rohan if LTI) as I'm pretty much happy with all the other ones I selected. McDonough > JHK/Taylor/Ambrose/Gleeson/McCarthy I guess. Pocket 70K, have 240K in the bank + whatever I make from the Swan trade.

Feel bad thinking about it and can't help but hope and think Swanny will come good, but I will have to trade him out. He's going to plummet in cash. In: Pendles, Out: Swan
Then use the cash as a fix-up elsewhere.

Swan can gtfo my team, and then I'll reverse my trades just so Swan can gtfo my team again.

Swan > Pendlebury
Mcdonough > Ambrose

These are the two trades that I'm thinking about. Traded Mitchell to Swallow last week. Don't like burning three trades early this season, but I can't help but doubt Swanny after what he served up last night.

I still have Sheed. Was going to trade him last week but saved it to have a second look at rookies. So for me:

Sheed > Gleeson (if named on field again)

Holding Mitchell and gonna cop the massive price drop on Swan.

same here. i can't believe Swan would average anything less than 100 and Mitchell is a hold despite his dodgy calf.

my 1st trade will most likely be J.Martin -> Langdon. X.Ellis is tempting too but Langdon's dual position is too good ignore (it means i can swap him with McDonald or Mitchell/Swallow/Bartel/etc)

Swan > Either a rookie cashgrab (don't have Aish yet) or a MID/FWD premo.

Seriously, he looks shocking. Carrying an injury (groin?) and unengaged. Not just the price drop, but while he still has that value I feel like I can use the cash to fix up two other positions on the ground.

Biting the bullet and trading out Swan. Kind of tempted to keep him for a bit more uniqueness with Swannie (since when has that been possible?) but he just looks terrible. Want Zorko as well, he just looks terrific. Although it means that I've used four trades already, not ideal.

Yeah swan was terrible so following the general consensus. Pendles or Watson at this stage though Aish only rookie ive missed. so might go there with an upgrade maybe caddy to titchell

lol

Trade #2 - Swan > Barlow/Watson (Probably Barlow...I couldn't trade to a drug cheat with a infraction notice coming)

Trade #3 - Probably fix up one of Michie/Rohan/McDonough. If I do go down the Michie path, there are are further 3 different options I could take. Pay 50K extra for Matt Thomas (266K, Scores of 107 & 109, did well in NAB too), James Aish (180K) or Harry Cunnigham (119K). All 3 have pros and cons.

McDonough -> Ambrose

I'll still have JKH/Impey up front, but there aren't really any other fwd rookies to bring in (plus I expect JKH to get a full game this week). So that means one of Swan/Mitchell/Ryder will have to go. Hopefully Ryder misses and Currie plays so I can put that off until next week.

Whether I trade out Mitchell or Swan will depend on how long Mitchell is out for.

Rookie corrections for me only this week (depending on news of Mitchell's injury). Martin -> Georgiou and McDonough -> Ambrose.

Hopefully going to sit on the team for a little while so the trades don't get burnt through.

Really unsure this week, caught between Option 1 (Cash Grab and Stability) or Option 2 (Premo Replacement)

Option 1

Enright > Jaensch
Swan > Aish

Option 2

Enright > Hibberd
Swan > Zorko (via DPP)

Will probably end up with a mixture of the two, most likely Jaensch and Zorko.

Have only seen Jaensch's scores and read about him, haven't seen any Crows games yet this year. Can someone fill me in on him a little if possible?

At this stage:

Caddy ----> Zorko

Not sure if i will do anything else yet.

Might trade Libba ---> Watson.

Still undecided.
Libbas been meh so far but has put up 84 + 90 = hold. He'll bust a big one soon (120-150) and will push his average up, Caddy's a hold dude as a F6-7 until your team is finished, yeah 55 was crap but I'm sure he'll pump a higher number out against Collingwood's mids.

Rohan and McDonough :thumbsdown:. Hopefully Leppa gives Taylor a decent crack at it, he got 67 I think after just 10 as a sub in rnd 1. If you don't have Tyson go for him instead of Thomas or Aish.

Tyson from the start :thumbsu:
