so because you pay money to watch someone then you own the right to wish them an injury? get a grip on reality mate.
No I pay money to watch the players perform and if they dont then I wish them injury so they can bugger off from the team.

get off your high horse and get a life

i have been a paid up tiger member for over 20 yrs!

and i wish all harm on duds like tivendale!!! its guys like him who should have had knees gone and not guys like draga!!!

thank god fiona is gone now, otherwise him hitting a bus would have been ok!

Neither Banik or Lounder were poor picks (poor players- not poor picks).

Different era back then. Still had Metro zoning and under-19s teams. West Coast, Sydney and Brisbane had concessions in their home states. The best SA players were contracted and off limits.

The entire draft was basically Vic Country, Tasmania and SA players who were too young to have earned SANFL deals. By 1989 most of the good SA players weren't nominating so they'd be elligable for the Crows for the 1991 season.

Neither player was much good - but you can't draft someone who doesn't exist.

1987
1. Richard Lounder
2. Chris McDermott (SA, didn't play for Brisbane - rubbish pick)
3. Graham Wright (OK he was good)
4. Andrew Brockhurst
5. Michael QUirk
6. Andrew Rogers
7. Darren Davies
8. Darren Jones
9. Michael Murphy
10. Michael Parsons

(we got Benny Gale in this draft and were one of the winners in a big non-event)

1989
1. Anthony Banik
2. Matthew Croft
3. Jody Arnol
4. Peter Matera (off limits to us - we were broke and couldn't afford him)
5. Brad Rowe
6. Mark Brayshaw
7. Stephen Edgar
8. Brad Tunbridge
9. Dale Kickett
10. Darryl Groves

(got Wayne Campbell and Nathan Bower so did almost as well as anyone).

:) GAWD awful those drafts, Weave!! Michael Quirk and Darren Jones. Can't say I remember them at all...and the memory is generally pretty good. Darren Davies was Footscray, but no impact. Brockhurst, little impact at Fitzroy. Gees, Graham Wright looks like a Brownlow medallist among that lot!

1989 slightly better, those Stephen Edgar was a bust, as was Jody Arnol. In regrads to the latter, an important lesson. Never draft a guy with a girl's name!!!

Thanks for refreshing my memory on those blasts from the past!

It disgusts me to hear a so called fan of the RFC wish harm on any player that has worn the Yellow & Black with pride & spilt blood on the field of battle in the quest for victory.

I've got one thing to say....

You're Not worthy :thumbsd:

I assume this same law of the land does not apply and therefore all bets are off for the hatred of former coaches who only wore St Kilda or Carlton jumpers in the field of battle?:thumbsu:
