Look unfortunately watching that game to me it just tells me collingwood are a fair way away from being able to beat those teams.

They are simply to mature and big bodied, this is something that we will not fix over one pre season. We still have a young talented list that has played consistently above expectations, imo we will not make the grandfinal yet again next year, but i foresee a fairy tale finish for micky malthouse, 2011 the year of the magpie.

Collingwood need to land a new quality player while still make the likes of beams, sidebottom and co superfit and stronger.

Thomas is a key, and i think in one of the next 2 seasons he will make the jump to stardom.

We are a fair way off 07. Too many young inexperienced players to go up against the battled hardened Cats or even the Saints. The loss of a few experienced players has hurt us unfortunately no matter how much potentail the youngsters have.

Although, (queue glass half-full theory), the Saints fans would've probably been thinking the same thing watching the Hawks-Cats this time last year, so you just never know.

By no means are we there, but we're not that far off. Couple of guys step up, bit more experience in those younger players, and then with the bit of luck you inevitably need, you can snag one.
