Cricket: the slips catch, especially after a good build-up where the edge is beaten a few times first

Association Football: nothing beats a solid header meeting a well delivered cross and going into the top corner, away from the scoring a player who takes on and beats a couple of tacklers can be scintillating

Golf: definitely the chip-in, particularly from a bunker or tough lie

Tennis: unfortunately the power game is now probably the sport's signature, even if it makes for dull viewing it is the sport now

Cycling: the attempt at a break in a sprint finish

Basketball: the alley-oop

Gymnastics: Rick Disneck plowing into the vaulting horse ----ing hard each week on the show

Athletics: the start of the 100m

Gotta love that one....the one handed backhand down the line, either the short backswing punch type, or the big backswing one.

Also the running forehand top-spinner across court or down the line beating the man at the net is alongside that.

There just simply isn't a better feeling then hitting a running forehand passing shot for a winner. In any sport. Period

The way shane warnes body did a leg break on release of a big leggie and then the late drift and drop before the ball mirrors on landing what he did on release.

I'd go for hitting a round, dimpled ball into a small hole personally. Infinitely more difficult and therefore much more satisfying.

My post was a bit tongue-in-cheek, it obivously comes down to personal preference. Although more dififcult doesn't necessarily mean it's more satisfying. Don't discount the difficulty of hitting a running forehand either but the rush of adrenalin after hitting one isn't topped (again obivously personal perference and bias noted) and that's including a couple of chip-in's I have done on the golf course
