He's still far too young at 21 to be making that call, he's got another 2 good years of development in him and if he maintains his rate of improvement, that is easily AFL quality

With the exception of his first year where he started out on fire getting a lot of the ball over a small number of games, he's actually been improving the amount of ball he gets every year.
Doesn't matter if he has a bigger body, he still needed to develop the running power to play AFL at the top level
It's not like he was a Top 10 pick, some players take a bit longer and he's still very young

Jack is still good enough to play another year and 40 goal fowards dont grow on tree's

We need another year of development into Ryan & Bauer and with Lynch now hitting 30 we need cover for injuries

We have enough spaces on the list for new players and no point throwing out a champion thats still has the footy smarts to play another year and get to 800 goals as Richo did

That's a bit stretched RT as how many drafts did those guys come out of. There's at least two good ones on average in the top 10 every year and if you're picking beyond that then it's a lottery.

How many in that list played in a premiership side? I think one...

Missed last years finals, finished in the lower rungs of the top eight this year with a very fit list and bundled out in the first week. Not entirely sure what the difference is between refresh and rebuild to be honest, but this is definitely a moment where post dynasty we don't make Hawthorn's mistake and misjudge where the list is at.

With three picks in the top 30 we are in an envious position to add to Gibcus, Brown, Sonsie, Banks and Clarke and to continue to restock with youth. Again as I have mentioned previously the idea that we might expend all our draft capital this year on ready made players and even trade away next years first makes me very very nervous.

Regardless of what we do we are going to look back at this trade period as a watershed moment.

Yeah but Cotch and JR are of higher quality in terms of footy acumen with respect. Cotch has rebounded if anything due to Sonsie coming in and other changes.

Too much faith has been placed in some of the lessor lights

It makes more sense to park Dusty in the midfield and Bolton up forward mainly if we can rely on Cumberland doing his thing ignoring last night

If we can get a guaranteed top end mid that will play for 5+ years then I'm all for that. Will allow us to compete for years.

SO I'd support getting Taranto big time. Him in we would be top 4 and contending this year.

I think one of our problems is what to do with Baker and Short. They are a little on the utility side, jack of all trade master of none.

I think Baker is a forward that could help in the guts in a situation like last night. Baker for me is not a back. Then what do we do with Stack who is a back and should have played last night?

I know most will not agree with me but I would trade Baker simply because although I rate him he does not suit our mix of other players in their roles.
