Recruit Vickery

I think he would be a fantastic option for us and would have great benefits for our forward line in the future.

He showed in the U-18 Championships that he can hold his position in the ruck when up against a more premier type like Naitanui, whilst still being potent and a danger up forward.

Seems pretty agile for a very tall and fairly build player and has a really nice set of dukes.

I for one hope that if we pass up on Hurley or he isn't available, that we take Vickery

Firstly it's VICKERY. I'll have to disagree with you as an agile young ruck who naturally plays forward and kicks goals is exactly what we recruited last year. Particularly if we snare Warnock, a skilled, tough inside mid (Ziebell) or a ready-made KPP with great anticipation and disposal (Hurley) will do us very nicely.

Exactly. Geez imagine Vickery, Charman, Warnock and still have Hampson and Kreuzer in our line-up. We'll soon have a bigger timber industry than Gunns the way we're going.

Can see where the OP is coming from, however, as good as Vickery is at junior level, i'm just not sure he's the type of player we need right now, especially if we happen to land Warnock next week. I'd still be looking at a hard at it midfielder, and a pacy small forward as real needs for the Carlton Footy Club.

Pacy small forward/midfielder, how about Christopher Hall from SA. I thought he looked promising in the u18 champs match at telstra dome, he tested well at draft camp.

Would probably go between 25-45, whats your opinion on him HBF.

From the footage i have seen, we would be missing out big time if he makes it to us and we let him through. Vickery looks quick and agile and capable of taking contested marks.
Vickery, Warnock, Kreuzer, Hampson, Cloke would be awesome. Out of these 5 i would be very surprised if 3 of these don't become elite talent in the future.
This would give us many options. Kreuzer, Vickery and Cloke could be developed at CHF , all with the ability to ruck as well . Hampson and Warnock could be our main ruckman. Imagine 3 quick/agile 200cm + players running around for the blues. Luv to see it.
