Has anyone else been addicted to Liar's Dice, fun game, just got to Mexico, been addicted to doing missions :mad: i don't wanna finish this game, gonna go hunting actually, for the first time actually, done the Coyotes, gonna go hunt Deers...seen a lot of them, should be easy...i hope!!

it would be great if people said what part of the game they are referring to before the spoiler tags.

For those of us that are 3/4 of the way through, we will know quite a bit, but would rather not find out the ****ing ending :thumbsd:

Agree with that

Can anyone else not get into deathmatches?

I just seem to be standing by myself and give up after a few minutes.

I've also only had 3 people in free roam at any one time. I thought more people would be playing this online.

I won my first game of it last night (for the stranger mission from the movie house). Only the 2nd time I've played of it after the first time I accidentally skipped the help so had no clue really of what the hell to do. It's good fun, just like Poker I can see myself putting in some good time. There's also a good amount put on the line so you feel as if you're playing for something substantial (which Blackjack loses with your maximum $1.50 bet).

^ your fault

how do you figure genius? Even though I've done 3/4 of the game, should I not read any spoiler tags at all, just in case it's one about the crucial twist at the end of the game?

Don't be a muppet. It's common sense, particularly when there's a twist in the ending. All you need is something like:

Ending Spoiler alert:
weagles is a tool

No ones forcing your eager fingers to highlight over the spoiler text. Games 3 weeks old a spoiler = a spolier. Did you not realise that people would be discussing the games ending without using your moral video game massive plot twist ending rule?

Snap. Don't be easily offended because you expected total agreeance.

Same problem, I just keep pressing quick match til I find myself with other players.

so by that reasoning, until you've completely finished the game, don't look at any spoilers at all, just in case some dickwad can't be arsed pointing out they are going to reveal the final twist?

Forgive me if I think that's ****ing stupid. If it's the climax of the game, it kinda makes sense to point that out.

Spoiler tags are spoiler tags, its not my problem if you read them thinking they're not.

speaking of ****ing stupid. It's pretty obvious I know what the spoiler tag is. I just think it's common courtesy to point out if you're going to be talking about the twist at the end of the game, because there's dozens of spoilers I can read, contribute to, & not ruin my own experience

It doesn't exactly take a lot of effort to point out it's a climax spoiler, but if you don't want to give others that courtesy I guess that's your perogative. Just makes me think you're a ****, just sayin'

I agree with Uppercut. It's not a matter of right or wrong though. It's just that if you're going to post a spoiler, you might as well post when the spoiler is so that if you're making a point/asking a question those who are past there can answer without having the story spoilt.

It's pretty stupid sticking a spoiler up that's got nothing preceding it because how do we know if we're meant to highlight it over? Shouldn't just be relegated to those who have finished that can look as it might not be an end of game spoiler.

Just chuck up "For those who have finished..." "For those who have entered Mexico..." etc. it's really not that hard.

Agreed.

Especially when there are three or four posts in a row with the spoiler tag.

The compulsion to check is pretty huge but if you say vaguely what the spoiler is about...all is good.

Is it really not that hard to read spoilers, because you haven't finished the game? Spoilers are for spoiling, don't read them if you expect not to be spoiled.. You don't need to be spoon fed.

But from now on, I will put "For those who have finished", etc infront.

I've started a new game today, this time I am doing evil, e.g killing people as I ride past them, or if shopkeepers want me to chase a thief down, I will though i'll take the money for myself.

I've already noticed something different with going down this path, I was challenged to a duel by someone and what he said took me by surprise, it was something along the lines of, "You sent my cousin six feet under, now I'm gonna get my revenge by doing the same to you." As I recall, when playing as an honorable person people would usually just say something like, " Hey hot shot, I hear your pretty good, wanna put your skills to the test?"

These little things just make this game absolutely remarkable.

EDIT: Another difference I found was when playing as a good guy, the Kentucky Saddler's deed was $750 from the Armadillo General Store, and while playing as a bad guy, at the moment it costs $1500

I'm up to Mexico and I haven't got a bounty on me, randoms don't come killing me because I don't kill them.
Am I playing the game wrong?

Spoiler warnings might be there for spoilers, but just like not reading them if we don't want anything to be spoiled, the warning can be put there and negate any issue regardless.

Not all spoilers put here AFAIK have been just about the ending of the game, so it tends to make things awkward whether you should check them. And as I said, spoiler tags shouldn't be relegated only to those who have finished the game. Especially one like this that can take a gamer 10 hours to finish or 60.

Freofan_Mundy's (sorry to single you out) is probably one I would pick out as just one that you have no idea whether or not it will spoil the game. He starts with "Bit ****ing annoying sometimes this game." and thankfully I didn't dive into the spoiler section with any sort of a rush, but I could tell from the first few words that it's going to spoil the story. It's just that with the start like that of "the game being annoying sometimes" I don't really expect anything close to a major point in the game being spoiled (even when they are in spoiler tags). Just a bit of a warning before the post and it'd all be ok.

Unless you chose that you wanted to play as a dick, then no you're not doing it wrong. You're not meant to kill randoms as a good guy as that will lower your honour. You'll get a bounty on your head if you kill lawmen, randoms (unless provoked), but not enemies. If you have a bounty that is not payed off by money or a pardon letter then eventually posse's will come to collect the bounty on your head much like you can collect a bounty from the wanted ads posted up around various towns.

You can choose to play as a good guy or bad guy and things will change up in the game (not so sure about story though, someone who has played as both could probably confirm). The effects are that places with devious types (Thieves Landing) being welcoming if you're a dick and lowering prices in their town or if you're a good guy stores will lower their prices and lawmen will generally look the other way if you accidentally kill someone (I also believe that bounties will generally start a bit lower).

Don't mean to be a dick, but don't read through spoiler tagged posts if you don't want the ending spoiled.

I did it as well on another forum, I was fairly annoyed but have no one but myself to blame.
