he just needs to play a more compact game early on while he gets a read on the pitch/conditions etc. oh and stop hanging the bat outside off...

Ive never had a issue with it so i dont understand it. See ball, hit ball - hard. Then again, Im a park cricketer :D

thats the theory. Hanging the bat there the best you can hope for is that it drops short of slips... Hopefully He can make a few this year and fix his technical flaws. Kid can bat, just needs a lot of work.

Yeah..Darren Berry was brought in to show us how to toughen up and "win ugly". Now Botha's been brought in to show us how to "win ugly"..

Any type of win would be good. At the moment it's just ugly..

Except he wasn't, and Fats McLardington was costing us further in the field.

He's basically our Leigh Brown. Or Des Headland in reverse. Looks pretty flash when he rolls his giant arse out onto the ground with a good team doing all the hard work, but strains under the extra weight when he has to do it himself.
 
I just don't know what will be the breaking point for the SACA to realise that the current local competition is just not good enough

Home many decades of crap do we have to put up with before something changes, honestly they are moving Cricket in this state to obscurity as anyone who likes Cricket is simply to embarrassed to even talk about the Redbacks.

So we have finished dead last 50% of the time in the last 16 years. :eek: Also didn't realise that WA haven't had success since 98/99. Difference with them is they have been competitive at least and haven't finished last since 1964!
