Brad is a close mate of mine, very sad seeing him struggle since that 57 in the first game, because he looked to be in good form. Has worked so hard for this opportunity and was told he would be given the first 4 games, so really hoping he keeps his head up and goes big against Queensland

It was also heartening that it was a few younger players doing the tough work, rather than being saved by some 30+ ex NSW batsmen on a retirement cheque.

Those are 2 definite positives. Shows the mental application is there.... At times.

Every facet of our game is obviously a concern but bowling...

Worrall underdone. First game back. Think he played one club one dayer beforehand. Apart from that nets and centre wicket trainings.

Sayers... can he still get it done? Or has age and his lingering knee issue caught up with him?

Agar... was a breath of fresh air last season. Our best bowler. Can't buy a wicket at the moment. What's changed?

Mennie is away due to personal reasons. Richardson is a white ball only option IMO. Winter a Duke only option.

Pope is hit or miss but absolutely will not be able to cope with a pace attack that is getting slaughtered. A young spinner will find it tough in any circumstances but coming on when batters are set and in boot-filling mode is a hiding to nothing.

Scott is a relief option only at this stage. Not a genuine wicket taker yet.

I'm just not seeing 20 wickets at the moment.
