Pretty impressive. I certainly didn't see it coming. The Thunder looked poor though.

Siddle bowled much better than I thought he would. Rashid looks like a great pick up. Carey hopefully will play himself into an Aus one day call up.

The Thunder seemed a batsman short, and we seemed a decent bowler short. But actually all our blokes ended up bowling well to their plans and their fields, so it didn't matter.

Rashid took an over to get in the swing of things but he did look good, really good.

Once again our bowling will be our strength though. Our players, and comp wide, struggle with spin and that's an issue.

Dean needs to bat higher IMO, Wells comes in for the last couple overs. Lehmann usually plays those ramp shots pretty well too.

Good to get the win but it was equally pleasing to hear Trav say we need to get better.

I think they made a good enough noise, but I would have said 35K max.

We don't have the big name drawcards this year but if the team performs well the crowds will come.

Plus, 37,000 isn't much more than 2/3 full. That's a lot of empty seats at the best of times.
