Players should be given x number of losses in their career

Once you've had them you're gone, regardless of your own output

How many losing games have Ferguson and Lehmann played in for instance? Cooper?

Would have to be, every other coach that has coached SA over the last 20 years has been pretty much written off after their experience.

I few shows have been talking about how utterly shit the Redbacks are.

One point was made that Gillespie is trying to stop going back to players who have been tried in the past and ultimately failed , above those performing at District Level.

It had me wondering, whilst we blame too many teams, is in actually us not picking in form players? How long have we been not picking players who are playing well at district levels?

The players they're picking are the best ones. Lehmann or whoever gets dropped goes down and dominates grade cricket.

We need to help make our existing players better. There's no magic XI combination out there to pick

I have no evidence either way, it's just Was was said by a few commentators that we weren't and I found that interesting

In case you missed it, the Redbacks opened 2021-22 with a crushing and familiar loss yesterday.

Sent WA in to bat (...) and they promptly churned out 352 from their 50 overs. Surprise, surprise... we collapsed to 7/120 or something pathetic.

Carey carried his bat for 128*, no one else made it to 20 and we lost by 115 runs. All our new players failed dismally.

Cricket's back :)

Shield thrashing starts Friday.
 
So did any of the recommendations from the Hussey review into the SACA get implemented? Or were they all just swept under the table as is the usual style for SACA?
