i was actually looking at this last night as our group is looking for a new co-op game then saw it's $120 AUD on Steam WTF. I'll give ya $79.99 if it's decent campaigners

Game Pass is a pretty handy one though if you game heaps. Some years it is better than others but in the last 12 months I have played Pentiment, Hifi Rush, a bit of Sea of Thieves with my Destiny clan mates, I played a bit of Scorn, then when I try this game it has well and truly paid itself off. Obviously Starfield hopefully later too. It has a pretty cool back catalogue as well.

I absolutely can't do 'Quality Mode' if 'Performance Mode' is available.

30fps looks and plays like total garbage to me these days.

Will give it a crack at some point given it's on GamePass but it doesn't look great.

Disappointing because Arkane have been consistently excellent developers before this.

I didn't review it as I was away when code came in but I've played a bit of it and it's very disappointing. World is lifeless, combat feels weak, unappealing visuals. Gameplay loop just isn't fun.

A shame because when I played the preview a few weeks ago I was optimistic

I decided to pre-load it last night, but it sounds like something I'll play for 20 minutes and then uninstall

I'll give it a whirl but was never really on board with it as didn't appeal at all but was hopeful for it to prove me wrong.

Strange decision from Arkane to go down this route, they have their niche in the market under the immersive sim umbrella and their games tend to do okay commercially and critically.

Their formula seems to work best in self-contained sandbox levels, where they can make the spaces dense and offer the player has much choice as possible, could never see an fully open-world ever working for them.

That's a good point!

I typically check out anything new on game pass regardless of how it reviews so I'm sure I'll have a look at this too at some point. Also reasonably sure I'll spend longer downloading it than playing it.

Well I played it, it's incredibly not good. That's as polite as I'll be for this game hugely hyped and already suffered delays.

Not good enough. Makes me fear for Starfield.
