any of them worth adding in Supercoach???

Get on the Helbig train, out of all of our recruits from last year this kid gets me real excited, similar player to Dayne Beams although I'd say Helbig is harder at the contest. :thumbsu:

Either way though all 3 will get games this year so you really can't go wrong.

Get off after 1 stop and go back, no matter how much he resembles Dayne Beams he's extremely small at the moment. Lives up the road from me and he's got zero bulk yet, smaller than a lot of the other 18yo's coming into the AFL. He may play well but he'll have a lot of time off from either tiredness or injury with his light frame

Correction, he is Hell Big.

I'm a bit concerned playing all three guys in the one team. Surely they all won't have the tanks to get through. I remember Nason really struggled toward the end of games last year and he would ran up to 17km a game.

How are these guys gonna go?

Exciting nonetheless

Wouldn't be surprised if a couple swap at some point, via the sub rule... assuming there are no injuries.

Good luck to the guys on their debuts. Go Tiges!

Ditto Bachar and Shaun.

Brad Helbig

185CM - 77KG

Dayne Beams

186CM - 83KG

Helbig is far from small, a bit lighter then Beams but not to much this kid will get serious game time this year (Form Permitting) and has me seriously excited and have been since day 1 watching his footage.

nason played on a wing though running up and down the ground including deep into the forward line. i would expect conca and hellbig to rotate through fp/bench (conca a bit in the middle too) and batchelor bp/bench so there wouldnt be as much running involved in those positions.

I'd definitely think 1 will be the sub and another will be the other subbed off, barring injury, so their tank shouldnt be too much of an issue.

bit of a surprise packet to me but sheesh his kicking looks very good of both feet. from the bits ive seen have to say im impressed. and he looks to be a genuine goal kicker to go with it.
what a change it will be when kids like him and macdonald hit up to the wings as genuine goalkicking link hfs rather than duds like white nahas king etc. add houli and morton and we are finding player types just like beams. all these types can and will rotate thru the midfield as well.

Exactly. :thumbsu:

For me the likes of Helbig, MacDonald and Taylor are crucial to our future, Helbig and MacDonald especially as they look like genuine goal kicking HFF who
in time will develop enough size and engine to be able to push up into the midfield.

I honestly think that Helbig and MacDonald can be our Sidebottom/Beams combo if they can develop there game further.

Helbig, MacDonald, Jakobi and Contin all medium sized payers with excellent skills, when these players can take the next step they will add that quality second tier goal kicking midfield that we have long been waiting for.

All the very best boys, get out there, soak it up , have fun & do your best.
