I'd do Gaff + ~43 for Conca + ~32

Gaff is worth more than Conca and an upgrade of a later pick. He's had his down games when the tag has got him (something Conca has never faced), but he's also had games, especially later in the season where he's broken the tag well, and he's doing more centre square work now. Coming along nicely.

More like Gaff for Conca and Tigs first rounder. Even then I doubt I would do it.

Absolutely no chance, that is absolute robbery for us, a straight swap is far closer to the mark, but you guys wouldn't do it because that's just a sideways trade since you are chasing him to strengthen the midfield, not keep it pretty much as it is.
If you were to persuade him to come across which is looking pretty unlikely at this stage, we would be after your first round pick and a sweetener or Lycett and a sweetener.

Lol. No way we would straight swap Gaff for Conca. Conca + first rounder, nothing less. Lycett plus a sweetener is an even more lolworthy trade. Lycett is the best young ruck in the country and you think him + a sweetener for someone like Conca is a viable trade?

If a player is out of contract they go for less than they are worth. We wouldn't be giving pick 6 or 7 for him. He'd threaten to go into the PSD and make it clear he only wants to play in Perth. As a result you'd get our second rounder and maybe swaps of later picks. It's the way the system works.

Having said that I hope he stays at Richmond (as much as i'd like him), don't like to see clubs lose gun young players.

Pick 6/7/8 plus a sweetener for a guy who, in this scenario, has walked out on the club and nominated us as his destination?

Yeah, nah.

y u do drugz?

Pantskyle - I thought TheColeTrain's post was perfectly logical and valid.

Richmond will/would ask for WC's 1st round pick (or a commensurate player) + a sweetener - hoping to get negotiated down to the 1st round pick (textbook 101). The problem Richmond have, is an OOC player having agreed to terms with an interstate club, have little bargaining power and will likely end up with less than that. This is now known as "being Eberted" which has a much nicer ring to it that its previous title "being shafted".

Are you suggesting he has agreed to terms?

Lol. Definitely less graphic than being 'bent over' lol

Has he even said he wants out and wants to come home at any stage? All ive heard is that he's still negotiating to stay at Richmond.

Nope. Speculation began after WC offered him a 'substantial' contract. From my understanding negotiations are still ongoing.

I expect him to sign at Richmond relatively soon however now that Martin's contract has been sorted.

Thanks mate. I figured he would stay there, especially seeings they seem to be a young group on an upward climb.

Please stop spruiking Lycett as the next best young ruckman (unless this is a tactic designed to shaft Richmond:D)

Lycett for Conca would be the guts of a fair trade.

FYI
Naita>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Grundy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Lycett

If Brodie Grundy and Lycett are the 2 best young ruckman under 21, who is the 3rd? (out of curiosity, cant think of a standout)
