About time.

I have come to the opinion if he is going to get injured eventually. I rather that be in the AFL than VFL. Maybe we can get 2 games out of him at AFL level before he does his quad/calf again.
 
Seems a hell of a risk. If he pops some thing early then theres no late sub impact. Actually forget that, our subs rarely have much impact.
Would go against what they were saying a couple of weeks ago that he needs a 'block' of work.

Why now? The time to be decisive was a month ago and the season's run and won now...

Marsh cannot be seriously considered for a backline that can't kick, because he can't either. Reid, you would have to say, must come in. Jesse White is the one likely to go for him. Kennedy has been a serious failure in all of his games so far, and probably won't get too many more chances. All of the players have serious problems with their decisions and their preparedness to lead hard at the ball. Escape from modern zones in the defensive areas makes huge demands on running to create somewhere for the defender to kick the ball, as well as providing someone to kick it to. I am not seeing much of this from our team, though our opponents seem to do a lot of it. If the guy with the ball can't pass it, there is no way out.
It stood out that only Sidebottom was allowed to kick inboard from the wing or half back, presumably because nobody else was trusted to kick well enough.
There's not much hope left for this year. Keep Cloke out so that his calf isn't risked. Moore has earned the right to play the rest of the year. De Goey, Maynard, Greenwood, Grundy and Witts are improving and should be kept together. Brown needs to have the message that a midfielder running by is a better option than a long bomb drilled into his skull. Much as I hate to say it, Blair may have passed his use by date. Sinclair probably deserves another go as the small pressure forward.
 
What's the point?

Season is done. Might as well wrap him up in cotton for next year and get games into Marsh, Moore and Scharenberg. Unless Scarenberg has told the club he's leaving which is why we're not playing him.

Karnezis is exactly what we need. Creative player that can kick goals from limited opportunities. We've had our kennedys, our blairs.

Smalls that tackle and don't seem to do much else lately. We need guys that have pure offensive instinct. He can't do any worse.

That is a fair question and one that I have no real answer for. My belief is that it is to do with Cloke's injury which may be lengthy.

Karnezis AKA treacle isn't the answer. He defensive pressure is less than fasolos
