No CHF or FF this week. We are playing 6 forward pockets
Come on Reiwoldt, Hughes, Thursty and Patto. Play a blinder for Coburg and kick Simmo, Moore, Raines and Bowden out of the team :thumbsu:

B: Newman, Moore, Raines
HB: White, McGuane, Polo
C: Cotchin, Tuck, Deledio
HF: Tambling, Morton, Brown
F: Simmonds, Bowden, Cousins
Foll: Graham, Jackson, Foley

I/C: Collins, Coughlan, Nahas, Pettifer

The last fortnight he has been deplorable ...

Non existant last week ... i don`t know what people expect , is it healthy to just keep giving a bloke a game even though he has done f... all to earn it ?

We can`t kick goals .. we have no forward line ... ummmmm .I do believe Jack has been standing down there all year ?

Let him go back to Coburg and see if he can remember what he has to do to make it at the highest level .

Does not work hard enough and has to turn that around sooner rather than later

Hughes should have come in because he cleaned them up last year.

Anyhow how good has the delivery been to Jack this season its been shocking. Our season is gone and now it should be about development and players like Jack,Hughes should be there.I would like to know what is TW problem with Thursfield??? and Patto did a great job and worked well with Graham.Tw is protecting is ass thats all.

LMAO @ how many times over the years i have heard the ol` chestnut..."poor delivery into the forward" ... routine trotted out ...

WORK JACK ....WOOOOOORK

as much as i would love for him to stay in there to develop... he just isnt playing good enough... needs to work a lot harder

:)Exactly right, Idi.

I've had some fierce debate on here in recent days with the likes of Madtiger and others re Cleve Hughes and his worth to the team.
In short, Cleve Hughes has only Cleve Hughes to blame for not getting a game and being a regular member of the team. he hasn't performed - hence - he don't play!!!
What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Mitch Morton played himself out of the team last week with a string of poor showings and this time 'round Jack Riewoldt has played himself out of the team on the back of some awful performances v Brisbane and Sydney.
NO ONE is above being dropped - especially from a team that is 1-6 - and the message is clear: PERFORM OR YOU ARE OUT!!!!

Some good points goldy....:thumbsu:

yep no problems with JR being dropped ...i go by the old adage that forwards are paid to kick goals...funny that:rolleyes:...JR should be paying us after what he's dished up in recent weeks, needs to get back to Coburg and start to back himself some more, know when to hold and when to fold...has been a spectator for a little while now

The kid needs some beef on his body.

I'm not against Jack being dropped but that forward line is terrible. Simmonds is our only tall. Simmonds FFS. Looks like Wallet isn't in it for himself, he really wants Butcher to become a Tiger.

Matty Lloyd made an interesting comment as special comments man last week. Said that Reiwoldt was always leading forward and ended up running into traffic. He said he had to learn to double back towards goals and into space. The kid could do worse than listen to someone like Lloyd on how to play as a forward.

It is disappointing to have Reiwoldt, Hughes, Thursty and Patto all out. We do still have some firepower though. Brown and Pettifer coming in can both kick goals. And Simmonds and big Angus have both found the big sticks in the last couple of weeks. Hopefully Nahas will eventually find kick some goals- so far he's been the Jake King of the forward line, all effort but not much reward. I reckon we'll have the rucks changing at FF and Lids playing as a key forward this week.

Don't know what happens if one of our big blokes gets injured though, because we have midget back and forward lines Hope Tucky has been practising his ruckwork.

ideally we would want the kids to be playing now that the season is gone.

hopefully this is terry's way of tanking. cos it certainly doens't look a good team.

spot on crum, quality forwards keep on reading the play and drfit to where the ball is...JR shows signs that he can read it but he also shows some rawness...critical stage for come development coaching...wont hurt him going back to burgers, hope he has a few things he's told to work on...could do alt worse than watch how the No 12 gets to so many contests...richo used to do alot of what you referred to when he was younger

I'm actually really looking forward to seeing Morton, Brown and Pettifer in the same side. All have their deficiencies yes, but all are proven goal kickers. I can't stop thinking of Leigh Harding when I think of Pettifer. I know it's a long shot, but similar in lots of ways. Struggling, one trick pony half forward who was on his way out when he did a knee, but adversity showed him how hard he had to work and he got himself back to now be an essential part of the team on half back and through the middle. Similar ages too. Can Petts do it?

I like Lids playing forward. We could see him step up this week. Pettifer will be hungry to prove his worth. Morton the same.Brown is still class and has had his reputation questioned over the last couple of weeks. Might be a more potent forward line than some think.

LMFAO leaving bowden in and dropping riewoldt. This club is ****ed.

Richo did kick a lot of goals that way, running up then doubling back and marking with the flight of the ball.

jack should have been dropped 2 weeks ago. hes an undersized 20 yr old who has struggled who has needed to go to coburg for a couple of weeks to find touch and confidence then straight back in.
if as a club we had just a small idea jack would not be asked to hold down a key position at theis stage of his career. yet the club regularly leaves him as the sole undersized TALL forward and expects him to do well and unfortunately so do the supporters.

hes been poorly used and is being asked to perform tasks he is not physically ready to perform.
anyway a stint at coburg will do him no harm.the problem is who do you bring in to replace him. schulz now that is laughable pattison even funnier polak sheesh. there is noone else list management and the clubs inability to draft kpps its inability to assess players properly has never been more eveident.

for what it is worth i believe jack post and simmonds just for now should be the go in two weeks time anyway jack needs a break.
