Exactly, the ability to win "big games" during the year, but still find ways not to win the "big one"....
I love the club as much as the next person, and I've loved those victories as much as the next person, but unfortunately my glass is half-empty, and I see it as a bigger frustration when we make the GF in a year like 02, and not get over the line.
History defines a club, and it takes a monumentous shift to alter a club, and everyone's view on the club both from the inside and outside. However, that said, nobody ten years ago would have thought Carlton would be on the brink of financial/on field ruin, so it is possible. I won't go into a rant about (Melbourne) club cultures and how history defines who they are, and how it affects the current clubs actions, that's another topic for another thread.
This match stood for all Collingwood is about, and if I were coaching I'd use it as a motivational tool.
