Get your nostalgia on and giggle as much as you cringe. I was fairly young but right at the 'absorbing pop culture for the first time' phase.

Blame Tumblr. The obsession with nostalgia these days has become so much that the nostalgia has worn off and lost its charm. If you're constantly being reminded of memories that happened a long time ago those memories no longer feel distant.

Petrol prices went threw the roof that summer.. AC/DC ruled.... and SA dominated state footyI I was born in 1991 .
Guess you never had a brewery sponsorship?I bought a pub at the end of 1999 and embarked on two of the worst years of my life,
The thing that gets me is the whole '90s kid' argument. I was born in 1991 and I don't consider myself a 90s kid. I only remember 1995 onwards and most of the good parts were spent in the early 00s where we had cool stuff like MSN messenger and Eminem. Not sure why people are so obsessed with labelling themselves as '[decade] kid' anyway.
What happened?I bought a pub at the end of 1999 and embarked on two of the worst years of my life, up until then the year was a solid 7/10.
What happened?
If I was born 5 years later, I would probably see things differently. I would associate the 1990s purely with what I did in the late 90s - whatever it was that kids did then, and my teen years would be in the Myspace era of the mid 2000s. Not sure if I would be a '90s kid' or not, but it would be massively floggish to crap on about how cool Nirvana were at their peak and whatnot. Would be like me raving about the original Transformers series as an '80s kid' when it finished before I turned 3...
I got that given to me on casette tape in '98 or '99. Small change in music storage technology since then...
