Like the story and the futuristic setting, unfortunately not much else though...
Kind of agree. I also don't really see Sony being one to let a title go unless it's not looking all that crash hot. I mean, they had it, they had put money into it for a couple of years and then decided it wasn't working so dropped the title. It's not like there were other parameters or buyers or any other interference, Sony just didn't think it was working. Sony has a hit rate as a publisher that is basically only 2nd to Rockstar this gen, so if they're not liking it, then I think there's a case to be worried.

And Capcom as a publisher...well, let's just say they're basically the opposite of a Rockstar/Sony...especially of late.

That said it does look a little like Deus Ex, so I will keep interested and follow it, but will probably rely on reviews and opinions after release than being a day one buy.

Has there been any real gameplay footage?

I will say in recent years story elements have become a lot more important in catching my eye. Plus there were little bits which reminded me of Mirror's Edge which is probably my most fondly remembered title of this generation (even though it isn't the best).

Since Capcom steadied the ship the release date was pushed back, so I'm hoping that it has been used to fix whatever it was that turned Sony off.

Going to be very hard to judge until one gets to play it properly.

Played about 5 hours or so now, I do like it.

If Phillip K Dick wrote/designed a computer game, it would look like this.

I'm in the same boat.

I started playing it for an hour or so this morning and the whole storyline and setting was really intruiging and unique to me.
The gameplay could be a bit better but it's definitely a title i can see myself pushing through to see what happens.

I can definitely see how it's received such polarizing reviews on metacritic though http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/remember-me/critic-reviews

Look forward to seeing what the story brings.

Played about half of it so far.

Combat as has been said isn't very deep. Story is equal parts sorta interesting and cringeworthy. Some of the moral ambiguity they're trying to instill is pretty lame.

Every few chapters it seems like it could have reached a culmination of some point but they then move on to something bigger. I feel it loses a bit of grandeur from doing this, as opposed to gaining any, particularly with the story not being overly capturing.

Remixing memories is a personal highlight, wish there were a few more instances of this. The battle with Madame was pretty cool too. Music and scenery is a definite highpoint of the game.

It's decent.

Sorry to bump an old thread. Playing this, the atmopshere and scenery are really stunning, but the story is a bit convoluted and the combat is really terrible.

I agree the atmosphere was great for the first few hours.

But yeah it eventually became quite the laborious task to complete.

I was afraid it was probably going to come to that. :p I'm a big fan of Cyberpunk/Dystopian settings so it should see me through the game. But unfortunately its shortcomings as far as the combat goes probably ruins what i could have labelled as underrated gem, but will probably end up calling it something with wasted potential.
