Didn't Sydney hold out for dear life on the Spider deal and played hardball for him through the entire draft week? Spider wanted to go to Sydney, and thank God he did, and Sydney just had to sit back and negotiate from a position of power.

This O'Keefe deal has a sniff of that deal about it.

It stinks of it bad and trust me Pelch and ROK would've spoken about it the other nite.

To be fair, we were asking an unreasonable price for an over-the-hill Ruckman. Pick #33 was more than fair.

Hehe you guys were asking for a first rounder for a 32yo, that's why it was a looong drawn out process then you guys settled for pick 33.

Trading Spider out of Hawthorn was sheer genius!

Sydney taking on Spider was complete folly.

I hate spider because he's an idiot and he's been shit for us BUT us picking him up was a genius move. He's helped jolly's development and will hopefully be our ruck coach and i don't think there would be a better one in AFL...

hahahaha we win YOU LOSE :D

He was a good player Spider, but it kills me he won a B&F, theres plenty of Hawk champions who have won that, that puts him up there little.

Wouldnt be surprised if sydney have the rags up with pelch and are being mischeivous.

How did the report of "8" required players get to the papers anyway ?
