Reserve Backs - what to do?

I have a bit of a dilemna with my reserve backs - Thompson & Proud. A few others may have a similar problem. Have gotten away without really needing them this year, but are now making me nervous. Kennelly is out for a week and means likely get a zero. Not a biggy as only one week though.

Myers is ripe for the picking & will likely be the last decent rookie back to emerge. Have been waiting for him as I rate him highly & barring injury should get plenty of games with the baby Bombers for the remainder of the season.

Thompson has plenty of growth left in him. When he plays he does well (stupid Laidley!), will get sporadic games as not likely to be in their best 22. He is around $162K. Proud is unlikely to get any more games and is around $126K.

What should I do?

A. Hang tough save the trade, cop a few zeros & hope Thompson plays more?

B. Myers $119K for Thompson - extra cash $43K, reliable backup, no zeros, will go up in price as much probably more than Thompson anyway?

C. Myers for Proud - makes no cash, have 2 decent backups with lots of upside

I have trades up my sleave but normally would not burn them on a sideways rookie trade like this. Do I just want Myers too much? Injuries will come to my backs (lucky so far) so without him it may force other trades to injured players who I would carry if I had backup.

This is driving me mental. I cannot decide!

I say get Myers in but for who I dont know.

I'd probably trade Proud for him as like you said Thompson still has some good growth in him.

I'm wondering myself if I should trade Womaeamerri out now for Myers and make some decent cash cause I want to upgrade Nick Stevens to Ablett in a few weeks if/when he gets cheaper!

If I hang on to Woma then I dont think there will be any decent cheap defenders to downgrade him to in the future.

Thoughts?

If you have Wona on your bench then not a bad move to raise some cash. Myers is really a player that will be handy on the bench to cover injuries. Can't see too many like him coming through - maybe Selwood towards the back end.

I say go (C) only because thats what I did. I just feel SDT will get more games this year How many I don't know but when he does he will score better than Proud.
I think a bench of - Myers & SDT sounds a lot better than Myers & Proud or Proud & SDT.

When Thompson actully plays he scores far better than Proud.

That is my only reasoning.
