It might be a shade premature but from various threads that are running about at the moment its fair to say that Collingwood as a team has now won the general respect of the footy world.

Still a ways to go like living up to the potential and all that but at the moment I think its widely acknowledge we've outperformed expectations and done so in a galant and honorable way.

Same goes for hawthorn, at the beginning of the year I didn't really rate the Hawks they were still in that "could be a good side" type of mould. But after the year they've had its fair to say Hawthorn is heading for a GF sooner rather than later and we might be lucky enough to join them at it.
