Pity that the band isn't active much these days. That was a real good album for me and one of my favourites because it was so quirky, so different, original.
They had an album out last year but it's too focused on his voice, their music has gone way downhill.

Crap song, it's only saving grace is that it inspired Weird Al's "Headline News".

Ny Name is Luka was another about child abuse

The song is just called Luka ;) How do you know it's about child abuse? I don't recall any of the lyrics seperating it from any other Domestic Violence?

On that note which of the verses in this song are about child abuse?

My name is Luka
I live on the second floor
I live upstairs from you
Yes I think you've seen me before

If you hear something late at night
Some kind of trouble. some kind of fight

Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was

I think it's because I'm clumsy
I try not to talk too loud

Maybe it's because I'm crazy
I try not to act too proud

They only hit until you cry
And after that you don't ask why
You just don't argue anymore
You just don't argue anymore
You just don't argue anymore

Yes I think I'm okay
I walked into the door again
Well, if you ask that's what I'll say

And it's not your business anyway
I guess I'd like to be alone
With nothing broken, nothing thrown

Just don't ask me how I am
Just don't ask me how I am
Just don't ask me how I am

From her own mouth

"I tend to be more attracted to darker things," she says. "I've never thought about the idea that you could write a happy song that didn't have any dark sides or broken people or missing parts." Yet, she adds, "I feel there are certain trademarks that I know, and every so often I go, 'Oh, stop. Don't write about child abuse or whatever-just stop. "' She laughs. "I thought, 'OK, I'll write something really happy. This'll get them."'

Child abuse put into a great context

Child abuse? Not really, unless you're saying deliberately isolating the kid from mainstream society amounts to abuse.

I've always read the lyrics to Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm as being about feeling isolated and different, and realising that the little things we stress about in this regard (especially as teenagers) are meaningless in comparison to the truly messed-up lives of those like the third kid.
