It wasn't an article, it was an interview - and clearly a pisstake whilst also having a dig at his former teamates because he felt he got no support.

In anycase - it's a very hollow 'victory' for you isn't it?

Obviously better than the whole Hawthorn Football Club, which is kind of ironic given you are championing Hill so valiantly.

Do you think there is a reason why he has fallen out of favour at the Bullies?

Obviously theres more to it than what we've heard. Time will tell, he'll certainly be of more value than Hooper has been in 2010.

If you were going for irony, Mitch Thorp would have been a more acceptable option. I was keen to keep him, moreso because as we delisted him, our only other KPF (at that stage) was Dowler, who is now (likely) on the way out.

Confirmed by HFC that Hooper will no longer play for Hawthorn. Has indicated that he wants to return to QLD to live with his partner

If there was a chance that he wanted to play for the gold coast I can't see them trading anything to us for him. He will only live in Brisbane, so GC would be the only possible team, they would just draft him. My mail said he is done with football anyhow.

He was living in Brisbane before and still couldn't turn up to training.

Stuff him, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Pure hypothetical here, if Peterson is delisted, and it looks likely that Hooper is gone too. Does recruiting Hill almost become a necessity?

Or even maybe Tambling to play permanently as that HFF/crumbing forward?

I am disappointed to see Rhan go, but it's not really a major loss, and with his history he was always a bit of a gamble. Liked what I saw of him in the few games he played, especially his manic tackling efforts...anyway, as others have said, hopefully it opens the door for some of our developing youngsters...
