I know a lot of people have problems with ryhs, but i for one am happy he didnt get traded or delisted. He's quick enough, and although he does tend to 'vanish' in big games, he's ypung enough to get over that. Mick did well in giving him another chance... what do you guys think?
 
Rhys wont be in our best 22 next year. Its unfortunate but he has not grabbed his chance when it was vaguely presented at various stages over the last few yrs. With morrison and caracella potentially he will struggle big time.

Problem is, Wright didn't trip over his own feet, and actually had skill, what has Shaw got? Nothing but speed, and is nothing like Wright, and never will be. He might became a good player he may not, but he will never be as good as Wright.
 
morrison has proven he can play, he has proven it many a time @ westcoast as compared to williams who never played a descent game. The only thing that may screw us over with morrison is his knees so stop talken ********!
 
back onto the subject..........

Shaw has shown a clear lack of courage & dislike for physical committment
so will never be what he wants to be.
You need a tougher attitude than he has got, to succeed.
We will not win a premiership with him in the team.
 
My jury is still out on him. I usually give players more of the benefit of the doubt than other supporters, but then when I get it in for someone, I really do. I have seen Shaw do a few nice things, and usually delivers nicely when he does these nice things, just a bit inconsistent, but he has got one more year with me.

We need a quick rebounding half back flanker, because we have our two talls in Walker OR Presti and Wakelin, third tall in Clement, tough break packs guy in Cole, and you typical balanced flanker in Morrison, now we need that quick run the lines player out of defence, it comes down to Shaw, Holland or Licuria for mind, with the later two wasted back there. Shaw really has the opportunity to make that possie his, but he has to be more accountable.

Bit harsh but I agree that R.Shaw is better than a lot of people give him credit for and wouldn't be surprised to see him a very good player for the pies in the future..

Dude, you've been on the hooch way too long. Take some time out, take a holdiay and buy yourself a girl!!And next time you compare G wright with R Shaw, point a nail gun to your head fire!!

Shaw has what we need - pace. His disposal is a lot better than some Collingwood supporters seem to think it is. I also think he has some ability. I just bloody wish he wouldn't fall over all the time.

There is not doubt this year is make or break for him, just as it is for a few of his teammates. If he is played on the wing I think he could be an asset. The problem is Lonie, Woewodin, Rowe, Didak and a few other are probably best suited to a wing as well. I'd prefer to have a centre line of Tarrant, Buckley, Lonie myself but in reality it will probably be Woewodin, Buckley, Rowe for the most part. Either way, it leaves Shaw without a spot. Morrison is likely to play half back. Ben Johnson is ahead of Shaw, Cole has passed him and Brayden will need games. If we get Caracella, I can't see a spot for Rhyce Shaw. He would have to clearly outperform O'Bree and Holland to be given decent game time and even then he'd want a few others not to shine to get a real go.

I think Rhyce is in his last season. I hope I am wrong. I would actually rather have Rhyce up forward than Davis. IMO he is stronger, braver, a better kick and just as quick. He doesn’t have the freakish ability that Davis has but lets be honest, we see that twice or three time a year at best.
