Is the labelling him of a dud by some Collingwood supporters just bitterness that hes no longer with you or is he really that bad?

Dumbest footballer I've seen in a long time.

Be prepared for him to be caught holding the ball at least once or twice a game.

He tries to take everyone on and rarely gets away with it. His skills are not good enough to be as flakey as he is.

Of course he has the potential to be great, but so does Ryan Lonie, and nobody's thinking that he's the next big thing.

Instinctively good and sometimes great footballer , but as soon as his conscious football brain kicks in clangers ,turnovers and free kicks are common place.

The good:
Young, pretty explosive, great tackler and aggresiveness. Good defensive man on man side to his game. likes to run with the ball

Bad:
Disposal inconsistantly good at best (it's more his decision making his bad, not his kicking style), pretty dumb as far as holding on the ball for too long goes, doesn't really command the ball so has limited scope for a move into the midfeild/wings.

Along with a couple of other players, I was baying for his blood after the 2003 Grand Final. He undoubtedly has ability, but as other people have mentioned, he can do some astoundingly stupid things on a football field. Maybe Sheedy can set him straight, but I don't like the chances...

2003 GF should be totally ignored. He had a poor game, but not much poorer than most of the team. He just had one instance that was completely overblown by the media because of the conditions. Yet in the 2004 grand final Darryl White's and Chris Johnson's performances and "oops/soft" moments hardly came under as much criticism as Rhyce's falling over and Cole's soft moment.

He will probably be a solid player, which is unfortunate as he has more potential (or did have) than that.

he actualy looked good at first at the pies but the longer he stayed the worse he played and the fatter he got. i couldnt believe how many times he got caught holding the ball it was pathetic, every ********ing time it was as thought he was under instructions to just run with ball till he was tackled. i think now he could of beeen doing it on purpose so he would be delisted/traded

So if he likes where he is playing and has a lot of support he could play mcuh better than he showed but his biggest weakness is in the head. personally cant wait to boo him

This message has nothing to do with bitterness, as those here will probably know that I've never rated Cole. But having said that, he is a fat, lazy tratiorous scum and worse than Nick Davis.

I've never ever been a fan. The only good game I can recall in my memory was the 2003 PF when we thrashed Port. I'm sure there have been other decent games but nothing stands out in my mind.

Disposal is, and always has been, pitiful. His decision-making and awareness is shocking. As someone said, he comes with a guarentee of being pinged for holding the ball at least once a match. Used to drive me insane....

he is the worst player to pull on a collingwood jumper in many years
he plays like he is wearing ice skates, you will never see a person slip over as much as RIchard Cole. and he is stupid to boot.
Also dont count on him in the big games, he goes missing very quickly, did anyone see the GF when he ducked his head in front of the pack, i've never seen anyone so scared in my life, he did one good thing at CFC and that was lay tackle on baird (roos) in the goalsquare at t dome. he is awful and will go well at bendigo once the bomber supporters turn on him like they inevitably will.

What i have seen of him he seems to be a cupido type player. Best is brilliant but rarley produces it. Has the potential to be good. Worst is Sh*ite

Hindsight is a wonderful thing,isn't it.
How handy would it be to have him in the midfield now?

Career to date - no he has not achieved what they did, as he's still only 21 years old.

But he's likely to have a far better career than McKee, and as good a career as Freeborn.
