Did anyone else take advantage of the deal for Docker members last night at Rick Hart stores?
Cost plus 5%...gotta love it.
If he keeps that up, Rick can stay Prez for as long as he likes! :thumbsu:

Wish I could have, have a new mortgage so consequently not a pot to p*** in. Did you pick up a bargain?

Parents went in last week and still got the deal. The store was scared about the crowds it was going to pull and not have sufficient staff etc.

I am definately going around to their house to watch the game on the new big screen.

I would prefer a competent chairman and pay full price for my DVD player.

How about an explanation to support your snipe rather than a hit n run comment.

Continually ready to snipe, theres a bright side to life to you know !

What's with all his print adverts having his mug on all the TV screens?

Big head, literately and figuratively?
I don't think he goes overboard.

As far as his own business is concerned, he is a salesman ad the face of the company. And has been succesful from what I understand.

Personally, I don't see a lot of him in the media fronting up Freo.

Nah he's generally not out there too much for Freo stuff but I have always thought (even before he was with Freo) that it was weird he'd not only get his shops to carry his whole name but also plaster his face all over his print ads - like you said, he's a successful man, just a little odd, I can't think of anyone else that really does that.

Ever seen Brian Gardner Holden in cannington???

Brian Gardner, Dick Smith and John Hughes have a bit of a Chairman Mao thing going on, no doubt.

You don't really see Gerry Harvey on the TV's of his print ads do you?

Never noticed it with Myer.

When he speaks it is clear that his knowledge of the club isn't great. One example was last year when he said the club had won 9 games in 2002 and 2003 and 11 games in 2004 and 2005 so we were slowly improving. He seems like a nice guy and handled the St Kilda saga well but in my opinion the club would be better served by a more passionate supporter and that Rick Hart took on the role to improve his profile and increase the selling price of his business.

Cam has been twisting his arm to go another three yrs.

You say his business is a huge success, which it is and he is the chairman/owner. Fremantle Football Club is a business and he too is its chairman. No coincidence that the football club has prospered under his leadership, he knows how to run a business and I feel confident that under Rick the club will go from strength to strength financially. We also get good deals from his shops, who cares if he gets some facts wrong with his football knowledge.

At least he isn't coming out and saying one of our players has depression without the players permission ;)
