Sorry to start a thread on this as i dont know how true it is. Ive heard that Nick is having tests done today for some injury. Is this true or just a rumour that has been started with no truth behind it?

I really do feel sorry for you guys. All those injuries are terrible :thumbsd:

Although I'm beginning to feel your pain, we will be struggling to field a side too soon, we have 12 players out at the moment.

Well I can speak (and read) the language but unfortunately I know nothing other than what's already on the thread. Sorry I can't help.

Sorry was just a joke. Thought it would get some of the saints to post. Just interested to see if he will be playing as I havent had the chance to watch him play live yet.

Almost every post in this thread so far is from an opposition supporter.. Wishful thinking guys!

At least he flew out which is more than we can say for Gram, Hudghton and X Clarke. :(

Does it really matter how many people respond to this thread?

We'll know the team 30 minutes before the start on Friday night.

Reported on 3AW tonight that Riewolt had a scan on his leg as there was some thought he may have a very slight crack in his fibula (is that the lower leg bone?). I guess we will know the result at 7.40pm on Friday night.

Also reported, Dal Santo has a Grade One hamstring strain but will probably play. Whereas most teams would usually take the precaution of resting a Grade One muscle strain, the Saints probably have to risk him - or ask Frankie Peckett to come out of retirement for a week !!

All according to Gerard Healy.

Riewoldt is fine. He, Dal and Fraser Gehrig all had scans - precautionary measure only - I think they've decided that they can't afford to lose any more - so all injuries are checked out.

Riewoldt had some slight hamstring tightness, Dal had his foot checked out and Gehrig's ankle was also scanned.

All clear was the result.

Lyon Fumes injuries continue

St Kilda has suffered other scares, with Nick Riewoldt believed to have felt hamstring tightness late in the game against the the Hawks.

Riewoldt had scans yesterday, but the Saints are adamant he will play.

"Just a check. He's fine. He'll play," Lyon said.

Nick Dal Santo has also had hamstring soreness in recent weeks, although there were reports yesterday he had scans on a sore foot.

Again, Lyon stressed Dal Santo would make the trip west.

"Dal's fine. He'll play," Lyon said.

Lyon also said full-forward Fraser Gehrig (foot) would play despite joining the long queue of players having scans yesterday.

Lyon made it clear he was playing a strong role in ensuring the Saints took a no-risk policy by scanning all possible injuries.

He said the Dal Santo, Riewoldt and Gehrig scans yesterday were a result of that.

"I suppose I drive it a bit. I say scan everything so we know for sure," Lyon said.

Lyon said it was "routine" and designed to "tick off the boxes".

I haven't found anything about M.Clarke - when he withdrew with his calf last week, was it serious, or just to make sure things were safe longer term. Boy we need him this week.
