Suicide. ****!

Had the dream life, getting paid to travel and eat food all over the world.

RIP
Wouldn’t at all be surprised if his restaurants became too much pressure or sent him broke.

Seriously WTF!

Last person you’d think would go down this road.

RIP.

Really? He's had a drug and alcohol problem for some time.

Sad news to wake up to. I enjoyed his shows. How many celebrities have killed themselves in Paris hotel rooms now? Seems to be a thing.

This is such a gut punch. He was pretty open with his addiction struggles and depression. Him coming out of it and doing well was inspiring. Eric Ripert finding him is heartbreaking.

Always loved how it wasn't just about food for either, but how he used it as a vessel to see the world around him, which made him so captivating to watch. No Reservations and Parts Unknown stand head and shoulders above anything else, especially in the era of of vapid cooking shows out there now. Used them as a guide for not just nearly all my culinary experiences in Europe and the States and parts of Asia, but for the cities themselves too. Know quite a few people that went to Beirut just on him going there alone. The cooking in New Orleans on Treme (which he wrote scenes for) were just brilliant.

Damn. Vale Anthony Bourdain.

What incredibly sad news to read. I shall miss his adventures to parts of the world that I can only dream of.

Memory eternal.

I enjoyed his shows. Interesting places, people and food. It is so sad.

Thank you for posting the link. I read it, and from the first line I could hear his voice reciting it. That cadence in his voiceovers, his tone. Even that level of self deprication.
