I have such a heavy heart right now, I just can't believe how fast this happened. I will forever be grateful to Dick and what he has done to resurrect the Carlton Football Club, and am relieved and grateful to the players who gave Dick an incredible send off on Sunday. There would have been no greater gift.

Not afraid to say that I shed a tear for our mighty club's greatest supporter.

RIP Dick.

A sad day in the massive history of the Carlton Football Club. We need to take on the responsibility of educating future footy followers, Carlton and non-Carlton alike, exactly what this bloke did for us. Vale, Richard.

Richard was a great man that did many good things over his 74 years on this earth.
Great business man employing thousands of aussies, unbelievable philanthropist and carlton legend to name a few....
When we play in next years grand final, he will be looking down on the MCG with a big smile as we win and hold aloft the premiership cup....
Condolences to the family and RIP

I didn't believe it would happen so quickly. When I heard last week that he was gravely ill I knew the inevitable would happen, but now that it has it is hard to take in and believe.
I feel very sad at the moment.
I am really too shattered to say anything more.

Knowing he was close to the end and actually now hearing this sad news has me in tears. Thankyou Richard Pratt for being the saving grace for our club. We will go on but be much less without you.

I am so thankful to the players who really put everything into the last game against the Bulldogs to give you the win you were waiting for.

RIP and sincere condolences to Jeanne and Pratt Family and of course the Carlton Faithful. :(

it was because of him that i tipped carlton for the recent round of tips

and carlton definitely fired up for that game because of him

in the end carlton got to send him off with a win

Don't post very much here, but had to after tonight's terrible news.

RIP.

Should have been there when/if we win the flag in the next half decade. Very saddening.

RIP Dick, you were a great Australian.

best wishes to the family. Hope the boys come thru for him this weekend.

RIP

We must honour Dick's memory with a permanent award.
I don't know the answer but we need to ensure his wonderful deeds are always recognised.
We must learn from the mistakes of the past and ensure generations to come understand his contribution.

Go Blues
