Can't believe this news. Listened to him just last week to the GWS/Eagles game. Probably not the greatest commentator, but had a boyish enthusiasm for whatever he was calling that made him quite likable.

I always enjoyed Drew's enthusiasm and energy; seemed to be genuinely happy to be sharing the occasion with others.
No pretension and I feel honoured to have listened to his calls.Never met him but I really liked something about him that I'm unable to describe.Funny man at times too.
Just came across as a nice friendly Aussie fella.
