Kyle Riemers, Sam Lonergan, Jay Neagle.......

Great win tonight, all 3 really stood up. I reckon they're a chance for the nomination this week.

What do you reckon?

Is a really positive sign for the bombers that these youngsters come into the side an dont shirk at a contest, was really good to see an even spread across the board, and even Stanton play really well, running from behind the ball carrier. really good decisions tonight, hopefully of things to come.

but back to the topic, Reimers, would have to be a good chance, had 21 possesions and kick 1 outta 3, was hard at it.

Neagle is an interesting one, was looking really good and still is, kicked 3 goals and missed another 1, but looks like a very good player in the making, a similar player to say a Fevola, but maybe not as good,

Lonergan aswell. Was a little supsect about him, but tonight proved me wrong, majorly, was really hard at it, and will be a very good mid when he reaches the peals of his powers,

On Neagle just quickly, after showing a bit in his first couple of games, i hope knights continues with him, where does this leave Gumbleton and Daniher in terms of peking order for that thrid tall postion in the seniors, I think Johns has done his race after tonights showing from Neagle, and will be delisted at years end (thank god *sighs*)

Thoughts......????

Re: Reimers stakes his claim

Reimers has a lot of mongrel in him and it's great.

I also love his ability to dispossess players & he seems to have little trouble picking up the unpredictable/awkward bouncing ball off the turf.

Re: Reimers stakes his claim

Had a good game still 7 other games to go, not sure bout the nomination. He'll get one throughout the year though.

I hope Daniher plays in the back. I remember reading last week that he hoped to have played on Franklin. Anyway, Neagle strong body and speed is perfect for our forward line. Plus his defiantly not like Johns.....Thank Goodness.

Reimers won't get it because of the boots, but he has played a super match. It will be interesting to see who else out of the rookies can match his performance. Get Gumbleton to have that German surgery and Essendon's forward line will look very nice.

PS: I'm all for the boots.

He is back.;) If he plays well this weekend he will probably play against Carlton.

Thought Lonergan was the best out of them tonight, have not seen any clearance or 1st posession stats but he was always in the contest and was one of the players who when he had the ball you could relax for a second knowing it was in the right hads.

I'd go Reimers slightly over Lonergan, but they both have been very good. Neagle has shown plenty of class, but he really needs a big pre-season under his belt. He's getting run off far too easily at the moment.

I'm getting very excited about some of our youngsters coming thru. It could be a couple of years, but there is some good players starting to emerge. We could actually snag 3-4 more Rising Star Nominations with Myers yet to be nominated as well.

I think we've found a player nickname.

One thing Reimers needs to do is work on his disposal - he butchers the ball a bit especially last week. Can't question he has a go though.

Neagle is a natural footballer and is relying on talent alone at the moment. He will be super once his body matures and becomes more athletic. Kind of the opposite of Johns - who is all athlete just can't find the pill.

It was much better last night.

I watched the game again on replay last night, and Reimer's delivery was actually sensational. He had a lot of clean touches, and most of his possessions were extremely effective
