I would have said that last week, and the week previous to that.

This is bullshit. It really is. Morton has been great all season for a first year player, and kicked 3 goals and collected 26 touches on the weekend. He has consistently got 20 each week and kicked goals. Sure, his skills aren't great, but to be achieving the numbers he has is amazing for a rookie.

Urquhart has only played a few decent games this year, and a good one last week, yet Morton has been good all year and played an excellent game last week. What more does he need to do?

If Morton does not receive this week's rising star it will be a travisty. Even his usual disposal related weakness was improved upon today, in fact he was superior to most players on the field in that regard.

I think he was just eligible, because he played 9 or 10 games last year.

You have to be under 21 at 1st of January of that year, so Buckley is eligible.

I think Morton had a better game then Bucks though. 17 marks is a huge effort for anyone, 30 touches, a goal and 80% effectiveness (which is good for him seeing as he averages below 70%).

While we're on Morton, did everyone notice Notte playing CHF for WC today?

If you think Morton is a rake, this kid is a toothpick. Morton is officially listed as 192cm & 78kg, Notte is listed as 194cm & 71kg!! And you could see it on the field, someone not that big for us bumped him and went down very easily.
