Im wondering exactly who are Essendon's biggest rivals all the way to Essendon's smallest rivals. Cause i've been thinking bout this for some time now but i cant figure it out. So can someone tell me from 1 to 15, who are Essendon's most rival clubs, with 1 being the biggest rival.

And another thing I am wondering is what clubs on Bigfooty should I be rivals with and what clubs should I be neutral with or like. Obviously I have my own, but I am just wondering what the general view is.

Hawks, Carlton and Collingwood. I don't really have a hate towards Pies because they are a good club. But Hawks and Blues give me the shits. That brawl in 04 where Hawks think winning a fight in a match of footy is more important, and we beat em by like 70 points. Carlton fans are just so arrogant. They're been saying they'll be great again for 4 years now. Nothing has happened.

Yea, I don't really see a massive rivalry there. At least, not nowadays. The 04 brawl was great tho, I was there, a bloody McPhee is a scary sight.

I personally hate Melbourne supports with a passion. Nothings better than flogging Melbourne. IMHO they're all stiff upper lip "I'm too good for this" types, I can't stand them. And they always leave a 3/4 time...

But our biggest obvious rivals are Carlton and Collingwood. Most Carlton supporters (at least the ones I know) don't see us as anywhere near as big a rival as Collingwood though.

Carlton fans are bad when we lose to them, the amount of crap we copped after we lost to them in round 3...

Good to hear consensus - was just speaking to a Bombers fan this morning about how we'd still love to see the Big 4 all up there again at the same time so the rivalry can really spark up again!!!!

Then Carlton
More recent interstate rivalries include Brisbane and West Coast.
Hawthorn/Richmond come afterwards perhaps, but significantly further down, after daylight.

True, but they never let you live it down. Let that mob beat you once in the year and it doesn't matter what else happens, they'll still give you crap for it for the rest of the year. Even Collingwood supporters aren't as bad.

Our rivalries change over time, except really for Collingwood & Carlton. Brisbane in the early 2000's was probably number 3, but over the last couple of seasons it has reduced a little whereas Hawthorn's rivalry with us is currently on the up. The same could be said in relation to the Kangaroos, late 90's early 2000's they were right up there but their rivalry has also somewhat eased up lately.

I think our biggest rival is definately collingwood! most of my collingwood supporting friends feel the same about us (i'll admit i have some ) thats why there is always such a massive crowd on anzac day. i really hope we beat them at least once next year! there is nothing more painful than losing to collingwood, thank god i was too young to appreciate footy in 1990!
