Think it means our depth is fairly good. You've got Plowman, Curnow, Kemp and others playing VFL. They are bloody decent players.

One of our colleagues (F_therest, I think) made the comment that Richmond's depth is nowhere near where it once was.

This season will be fun. Reserves confirm my thoughts. With being underdeveloped and ordinary coaching our youngsters largely stagnated. The trades we made over last two seasons were virtually over and above our requirements given a year or two of development. We have in excess of thirty players who SHOULD be best 22. Going to be some very unlucky boys playing twos this year. Hope we can keep them all happy.

Exactly! One of the first sign of a good team.

Dogs, Dees, Tigers have all had good reserves side when they're doing well. Hawks as well when they were good.
