INS & OUTS

Go for it.

Out - Smedts, Graham (Lamb if doesn't get up).

In - Fisher, Cunners, (White or Harry if Lamb out)

Giving Pickett another chance and Graham, but lucky. Pickett is close to a break out game I think. Needs the belief.

Go in.

F: Wright Pickett Daisy

Out: Graham
In: White and whoever else wants a game

I'm ok with the back six remaining even Plowman, everyone has a bad game.

I have to ask because I must have missed it but what did Graham do or maybe didn't do that he doesn't deserve another games? I thought he was one of the very few that put his head over the ball and won it when he needed too.

Not really sure there's much ready to come in against Adelaide - recent injuries and of course poor VFL form today!

Out: Lamb (surely will miss a week) and Smedts
In: Palmer/White/Armfield (one off) and Sumner for some pace (would like to give McKay a run but Adelaide smalls in Betts, Cameron and Milera are a bit of a worry)

I don't think any of Cuningham, Fisher or Williamson will be ready, or risked, so soon.

I thought Graham was awful, particularly in the first half, much prefer fisher or cuningham in

Assuming that these two are right to go

Out Graham, Smedts, Lamb
In: Fisher, Cuningham, the big H

We'll win this one. Take it to the bank.

We'll re-group and hit them with plenty.
A few home truths to come from the Richmond game and players will respond.

Can't we just have Kreuzers 150th every week? Sure would make things a lot simpler.

I like your predictions Harker

Agree, there were a lot worse than Graham today.
Boekhorst would be the first one dropped, followed by Smedts.
This could get ugly, we looked very slow today so hopefully some of our youngsters will get up this week.

He tried, and certainly didn't spectate or run around chasing shadows like several others! The frustration was borne of several of his poor disposals/decisions (have to expect that I guess) in the first half. Having said that, he played with the same vigour in the second half but played a lot better as far as decision-making/disposal was concerned, so he wasn't amongst our worst players by any means in the end, and I would be shocked if he didn't play next week.

My frustration at the moment is that I hate all the work we do getting the ball into the F50 and then we cough the ball up easily with poor disposal/decisions and a goal is scored against us! We don't get enough quality entries into the F50 at the moment (not enough depth and run in the midfield) and we aren't keeping it in there long enough! From my point of view, I want us to start kicking some goals - we need another Docherty and a Simpson patrolling midfield and F50!

I'll keep saying it - start developing (fast-tracking) Williamson to play as an inside/outside midfielder now! Maybe when Macreadie comes back we can try him up forward and develop him as a forward. We have an abundance of defenders now, so please let's re-train a select few whilst we also look for other players to bring in via the draft and trades. It's not Hollywood - we don't have to typecast players for the entirety of their careers!

Out: boekhurst, smedts, lamb and weakness
In: Palmer, fisher, Williamson and pressure acts

Really tough selections coming up. Last year, we played well early, but fell away and ended up losing 11/12 in the second half of the year. This year, we're even younger.

I think we tried to get games into young guys earlier in the season, when they were fresh, and we've tried to maintain a balance. This week we tried resting some guys but the fringe players we brought in didn't play well - that said, the game never got ugly or turned into a thrashing and that might be all we can hope for against the top 4 (stay in the game, hope we catch a few breaks a la GWS). I think we have been smarter in 2017, lets hope we stay more competitive than last year

I'd like to see Kerridge play. He hasn't been good this year, but his big body in the midfield allows Murphy to play outside more, and his presence is better than Graham. If Williamson is out I'd also like to give Buckley a run. He has a heap of limitations, but I love the way he attacks the game and seems to really care - we could have used that today when we were flat, even if it comes with a side-dose of skill errors. Not sure this is the best game, but who knows...

I think we keep rotating Pickett/SPS/Fisher/Cunningham. Maybe try to play 3/4 each week. That means SPS rests this week, Pickett the week after, then probably Cunners then Fisher.

So probably:
Out: Lamb, Smedts, SPS, Graham
In: Fisher, Cunningham,

Would be good to try McKay and Kerr for 1 game each, but not this week. Adelaide's defence too good imo.

We've been looking for a point of difference for membership numbers...no reason we can't make every week Kreuzer week!

I agree Harks.

There will be a couple of forced changes I suspect.. And a couple of omissions.

I suspect last week was not a good week on the track either. Something wasn't right...

Was a very physical game against the Suns. There was a lot of stuff dished out by both sides off the ball. Nothing illegal, but the kids will have found it more taxing than usual.

Out

Boekhorst. He stamped his own papers today.
Smedts. Was a glorified witches hat today
Lamb. Injured.
SPS . Didnt get near it. Needs to be better. May get another run due to injuries though.
Pickett. Showed next to nothing. May be in the same boat as SPS.

IN

palmer, Kerridge (experience wise), kerr as a leading target inside 50, fisher, williamson or cuningham (if fit).
