Great team effort last night.....

5 - Murphy
4 - Jamison
3 - Betts
2 - Mclean
1- Armfield (we really do under rate this guys importance, he has had two weeks to forget, but last night was fantastic)

BYP TBell

5. McLean - Absolutely monstered by the umps but still kept plugging all night.
4. Jamison - Riewoldt is the type of player that can spark a team, a complete shutout by 40.
3. Murphy - Lead from the front, got going when the going got tough - Should be next years captain, IMO.
2. Armfield - Exposed Newman and made crucial plays at crucial moments.
1. Betts - Never stopped running, persistent pressure.

BYP: Bell - Threw his weight around to great effect.

Finally got around to watching the replay. ..

5. McLean - Started it off and finished it off, great 4 quarter effort
4. Eddie Betts - Directing traffic in the forward line, contesting marks and kicking goals
3. Marc Murphy - Just accumulated and so clean with his ball use, Judd-like ;)
2. Michael Jamison - Killed Reiwoldt, hope to see more of the same for the rest of the year
1. Heath Scotland - Usual solid self and general

BYP: Tom Bell

5. McLean - consistent effort over 4 quarters, made sure we were always in touch with Richmond
4. Murphy - reminiscent of his AA form last season
3. Betts - kicked goals at key times of the game
2. Armfield - kept Newman out of the game & kicked 2 very handy goals
1. Jamison - too good for 'Junk-Time Jack', his best game since the first half of last season

BYP - Bell - The 2nd & 3rd efforts from this kid, plus his great mark & goal, belied his inexperience

Could have included so many more players in the votes. Kreuzer's ruckwork & efforts around the ground, Garlett's work through the midfield & his defensive efforts, Gibbs was a general down back & put his body on the line a number of times, Curnow won a lot of tight contests & was also good defensively, Carrots was....Carrots.

A great team effort on the night. The boys dug deep when needed & did us proud.
