If you can afford to let your kid throw a $120 jumper in the bin because he didn't like his team losing, you either have too much money or are happy to set your kid up for a lifetime of lacking the resilience to get through what life throws at you.

Either way, it seems strange to allow that kind of behaviour ... if it really did happen.

If this is going to become a forum of questioning people’s parenting, then I think it’s finally gone too far.

After he had thrown it in there, I pulled it out and had to have that exact chat with him. Unfortunately a 5 year old doesn’t quite understand that.

Might have misread your initial post, seemed you were happy to share the fact he had done it, almost like you thought the club deserved it.
