Good interview by Yze post match liked the way he backed Taranto's actions he confronted Sicily after he pushed Rioli in the back when he was already face down on the ground.

Coaching wise hmmm we guarded too much space and were slow to change up forward to give Lynch a hand when we had penetration into the F50 but getting no results.

Kane McAuliffe's last quarter 55 metre goal against the fast finishing BoxHill Hawks that reversed the momentum and got us the win last night surely gets him a Guernsey next week.

Like Jasper Alger youngest kid in the competition but shows that he can capitalize around goals.

Young inexperienced side with a 2nd year head coach they appear to be slowly learning together.

Kmac play his run with role early but swing him forward after half time gives him a breather and we need experience at that end he would be a difficult opponent for the opposition to match up against.

They tried Macintosh forward today. Didn’t work. Got caught behind and was unable to keep up with his opponent when his opponent ran forward. Would have been better to play Blight or Gray as a big forward/second ruck. Macintosh tries but he is not fast enough or skilled enough and he is not a genuine third tall target

Gray would be a viable option has played both ends we need some muscle in the F50 Kmac is nuggety but we will get that with Mykelti’s return the defenders will have to keep an ear out for two different foot steps

Today was terribly disappointing. I didn’t expect to win but I didn’t think we’d be as bad as that either. Must be close to our worst performance for the year.

I know a lot of our players are very inexperienced but surely they should know not to pass to a teammate who’s in a worse position than they are. Happens all the damn time. Also seem scared to tackle and just stand and watch the opposition run off with the ball. Even Lalor a couple of times today didn’t go for the ball and just watched the Hawthorn player mark.

Umpiring a disgrace as usual but if the Club aren’t going to do anything about it then nothing will change. Have some balls and stand up for yourselves Richmond. Stop being such a bloody pushover.

Some easy high contact calls early in the game made us pretty tentative.

Terrible game style implemented today. Hawks were vulnerable in the coal face without Day and Nash. But we just let them play a really uncontested keeping’s off style by doing that ourselves. With Battle, Sicily and Barass we were no chance of competing with a slow style that involved long bombs up forward.

By far our most disappointing performance of the season given Hawks had half a dozen of their best 23 out and hadn’t been playing that well.

Please Yze, can we play some higher risk football with some run and dare? We can’t survive with chippity chip crap, and it’s not what will take this club back up the ladder.

I don’t care about wins and losses this year …. It’s about the style and the future. Today was a bad day.

Everyone played that was across the weekend. Clearly coaches are all seeing something in the game that they believe this is the best way to play.

Was a terrible weekend for the average spectator.

Game has gone past McIntosh, thanks for all your gut running and efforts but he should be in the VFL guiding the young guys there that can't get an AFL game. Maybe he can take Smillie under his wing and teach him what it takes to gut run.

Rioli, there is no spot for him in the seniors, club keeps trying to turn him into a forward pocket, he has no goal sense and we also already have the likes of Campbell, Green & Mansell as pressure forwards.

You'd make at least 2 changes next week, give Alger a game, he might not be ready but surely he does better than 5 touches and if he doesn't no worse than having Rioli anyway.

Kmac 2 comes in for Kmac and stays there. Not Sonsie or Smillie, Kane comes in.

You are correct Yze has not been great so far we just need to see improvement and increasing clarity from Adem

It will be a big second half of the year for the coach we know we have talented young draftees they are just going to get better the question is can Yze match their development as a coach.

Time will tell he has got less than two years to go on his contract.

Mate that Sicily is a piss of His a low iq idiot and always has been. That was a dogs act and was surprised only Tim went in. You also see it all the time someone gets holding the ball and get their faces rubbed in. Another low act which is not a good image for the already ruined game.

Hard to believe that Lynch handball was called "holding the ball" in this play... It was a great play leading up to it and a hard fought goal and I think it did deflate the team quite a bit.

A couple of Lynch misses and a Lalor miss, but the plays were impressive leading up to them to give them such simple chances...

Slick moves from Faull to intercept one-handed... very good leap and tap from Lalor to get the ball out of the back of the pack and an equally impressive lowering of his kick to give Lynch's defender no changes. Shame Lynch hit the post haha


Good trap and re-gather and outlet from Hopper to Nank... Nank got onto Lalor's run nicely and of course Lalor hits Lynch on the chest giving his defender no chance.

I really rate our assistant coaches think Caracella , Newman and Morris are excellent choices but would like to see Yze and co go to Liverpool FC in the off-season and just have a look at the behind the scenes of a consistantly well run club and pick the brains of Slot just like dimma used to do in the off season in the U.S back in the day that's one thing I want to see the coaches evolving with the young squad

Slow, confused, skill errors and not good enough from some of the senior players again. Not sure how we go from beating the Suns to these really poor games where we can’t play 4 full quarters. Is the Ooze trying out multiple styles until one sticks or is it just the kids and new toys in the team trying to work out how to play together? Really disappointed in the effort towards the end - other games we have fought out to the final siren but today was dismal. Not sure what’s wrong with Lynch but he is a shadow of his former self and just not delivering but in fairness, the delivery into forward 50 is pure Stevie Wonder stuff. I know we will lose more than we win but ffs let there be effort

Hawthorn are a long way better than GC, we also arent going to be consistent against the better teams. The GC game we got smashed on inside 50s and were absolutely spent the whole last quarter. The last 2 games weve hit the wall half time.

If our senior players were meant to make us competetive against the very top teams, we wouldnt have gone into rebuild mode. It was similar to the dusty 300 game where we didnt really look like scoring.

We do look to be tiring a bit though the last 2 weeks which is a bit of a worry. Id be resting senior players against West Coast (doesnt really matter if we lose, if we win pick 1 is completely off the table) then go all in against North and Essendon. The Essendon game is off a 5 day break, players like Lynch and Nank will struggle to play all 3.
