oopps ....SORRY CHARLIE G

i'd already done this ....and im not from either club ! ...i done this only to comment on the bad umpiring decisions on the day and was not bagging any team - just merely mentioning how wrong things were.
( bet a WC had a la la about about it all did they  )

not sure where these Delete post options are CharlieG - but i will expect some to go missing if you think fit to do so .

Your posts on this board are fine. I imagine that if you stepped outside the boundaries on the West Coast board, then the mods there will do something about it.

JohnK, you must be as stupid and ignorant not to see the skill errors from both teams.

Calm down, MrSquashed. At half time the clangers count was 22-10 against Sydney. I'd like to see the full time count. Maybe it was something like 30-25... who knows.

How many 50/50 umpiring decisions were there? Five, ten? But even then a 50/50 decision isn't necessary a clanger.

How many umpire errors were there which all parties, including the umpires, will agree were errors? One, two?

There's nothing you can do about umpire errors except whine about them.
But there's plenty you can do about player errors.

And leave out the abuse please, MrSquashed. That doesn't help, either.

you mean .....you mean i'm free to go Charlie G :D

brilliant ! (...now im really gonna go and kick some fuc)......mmmm  no im not ! :D

It could have gone either way, it went the way of the Eagles tonight, they got over the line, played just as hard at the ball as we did, and now can worry about playing in the PF.

It's heartbreaking, yes, but we cannot blame a few silly free-kicks as an excuse, but aim forward to the coming weeks.

We have a Semi-Final to deal with now, and I can't wait until next week.

Bring on Melbourne or Geelong.

2. First quarter again when we scored a goal, but the ball was brought back for a free to Matera, who missed. Should have played advantage in that case. We were robbed of that goal.

I think you'll find that was the correct decision because the umpire had called play back before the kick that went though for a goal was made. I suggest you brush up on your advantage rules

The others you brought up where borderline but fair.

and there it is... and he is a Swans fan too..

Im throwing out my AFL Membership after tonights game. I refuse to watch a sport that is decided by such incompetent decision making by the officiators. The difference in a win and a loss in tonights game was monumental and the Umpires handed the game to the eagles on a Silver Platter.

Whoever said Goodes was accidentally tripped needs to go and read the rule book. It doesnt matter if he was accidentally tripped, the fact is he was tripped and thats the end of the story.

The collision between Stenglein and Barry (im sure it was barry) was wrong. Absolutely disgraceful. It happens week in week out. Play on is the call.

I have my suspicions that tonights umpires would be paid an added bonus if they could make the game a tight finish. Good for ratings, good for the AFL to kick off the finals with a thriller. Im sure we will hear more about it in the coming week. From a neutral observer, thats the strong feeling i got watching the game.

Sydney have every right to take a tape of the last quarter to the AFL during the week and demand answers.

Swannies - you were robbed. No question - no argument. Just look at the first fifteen minutes of the game and it was obvious the umpires were home crowd.
Hope the club does something about it publicy - it was disgraceful.

That free kick that was reserved and given to stenglein was a joke. That decision turned the tide of the game. I wouldnt be surprised if it was McLaren who reversed the decision, that guy is an absolute joke as an umpire and is a liability to the AFL.

After James Hird made those comments about him, I kept an eye on him and some of the very poor judgments he makes and at the time I though Hird was just having a sook, but after close observation he was right with what he said.

The sooner AFL fires McLaren the better for everyone.

I admit Sydney were robbed due to some pathetic umpiring decisions.

However, I am sick of 90% of the morons on BigFooty who prefer to blame the Eagles and their supporters for Sydney's loss rather than the umpires.

It was a cracker of a game, tense and the way finals should be played. I'll also admit I despise flooding and see it as a blight on the game, but all teams are entitled to use whatever tatics they can to get them a win.

Best of luck for the rest of the finals Swannies, and as in my earlier posts, if we don't make it to the G and you guys get there, you have my support.

Jason Ball former Eagle, former Swan Districts player (my WAFL club), I have kept an eye on him since he crossed over and glad to see him get over the most of his injury woes.

Best of luck again,
GB.

My oath.

Stenglein free kick was there, Just because it was unusual doesnt mean it wasnt there. It was a trip though

I guess this is what happens wen ya flood Swans, you need and rely on luck to win, you didnt get it today. The sad thing is if you played aggressive football u wud of won easily. Learnt ya lesson for next time. If your gonna flood ur gonna leave the game to the umpires. If i was you id look at blaming Schneider Kirk and co who missed absolute sitters infront of goal.

Yes indeed, either of those two hopelessly out of form teams at the moment will do. My room mate is St Kilda supporter, and we would both be absolutely steamed off if it ends up being a St Kilda vs Sydney Prelim, rather, we would prefer it to be the Grand Final.

As for Adelaide - nope. St Kilda should win.
Melbourne or geelong - doesn't matter for me.
North vs Port - North better win so we can kick those over confident ferral supporters out of the finals.

This is not a quote out of the rule book but this is it in general:
*A player standing the mark is not allowed to encroach past the point of the ground where the mark was deemed to be taken. If the player does so, it should be awared a 50 metre penalty to the team with current possesion of the football.

*A player tackled below the knees during the course of action shall be deemed to have been tripped and be awarded a free kick in his/her favour.

*A player that deliberately runs, kicks, handballs, drops or throws the ball out of bounds without being under direct pressure, or does any of the above deliberately to stop or slow play will be awared a free kick AGAINST.

My earlier comments have been harsh and full of swearing, as being a heated up swans supporter on the verge of a prelim final. I even destroyed my remote call when that deliberate was given.
I use to do umpiring and intend to do so again next year, but there are some extrodinarily bad umpires around at the moment, and yes, Scotty needs to be booted out by the AFL, because he is liable and hopeless.

Now, WCE supporters, please tell me if a) stenglein didn't step over the mark, b) Goodes wasn't tackled below the knees, and c) that he wasn't under pressure when he ran it out of bounds.
You do that, and I will show you a green dog.

first of all i wanna say it was a great game

Second of all i would like to say that was a trip. He got him around the legs and that is what is considered a trip.. none of this he was half way down Cr@p matters.

3rdly, MrSquashed you are the one setting a bad example to the rest of the swans supporter... so before you going around calling people "over confident ferral supporters " look who has come here to support you guys when the umpiring was not all there. It's a pitty you make everybody else who is a swans supporter look so cocky, because i know they are not like that.

Good luck for the rest of the finals :thumbsu:

Isnt it equally as plausible to blame those 4 shots you missed from directly in front? I thought what decided the game is in the last qtr we took all of our opportunities where as you missed two sitters which would of completely changed the game.

Goodes could of ran into a open goal instead he does a very odd lookin kick and hits the post, Kennelly cud of ran to 30m out but took the shot from 50m out and missed. I wudnt be all that concerned, you will beat whoever you play next week, the finals arnt over for ya yet.

if i remember correctly without looking at the score card, both teams kicked 2 points for the quater, so take ur "accurate kicking" and cram it up ur pie hole.

What? you didn't hear? Choccers already thinks that just by turning up to the finals with his crap squad, he has the GF in his pocket already. oooo I am HANGING for tomorrow so I can see Nth Melb absolutely ********ING CRAP all over Port.
I am also waiting for St Kilda to have Adelaide look as vulnerable as a new born child.

Weak!!! You dont deserve to win when you play a rubbish flooding game like that. If you do that again next week you dont deserve to win.
Rubbish. Flooding is legal in football, unlike Wirrapunda's trip on Goodes.
As for the Stenglein free kick, what a joke!
As a Bulldogs supporter I know how rubbish frees can ruin a good game, as seen by White's free against Skipper which effectively put us out of the finals.
BarryHall was being held all night as well.
Swans were robbed. Umpires were wrong.
The Swans still might get another crack at the Weagles in the Grand Final and smash them.

That free kick for white was the most rubbish decision ive seen..

Small decisions wouldn't have such an impact on the game if you didn't play your pathetic flood, keeping the games so tight and low scoring. Roos was outcoached and you deserved to lose, stop whinging and cop it sweet.

i want to kill i'm that pi$$ed off about it... however roosy's best bet is to say nothing b/c it's useless... we're crucified by the umpires every week so i kind of expected it last night... it just means we must kick more goals so we're not vulnerable to ridiculous umpiring in the crucial stages of the game.
