Classy shot to hit Robinson when he was picking something up and wasn't looking.

And the Herald-Sun changes the headline to "Robinson targeted".

The morons watching on are the biggest disgrace.

Witnesses in article suggest it was an internal argument - which makes sense as credible sources have stated it was between mitch and his roommate.

Must admit watching the guy whack Robbo when he wasn't paying attention made me pretty mad.

It looks like something happened before the footage begun taping. Looks like Robbo did hit him with a round house, then went to pick up something at which stage the guy comes in, hits him in the head before a struggle brings them both (and someone else who I can't really tell if they are helping to break up the fight or get a couple of cheap shots in on someone, but not sure who). I just hope Robbo's hit was "during" the start of the altercation (eg not a sucker punch). Too hard to tell from the limited footage, and god only knows how much the hs edited out of it ........

Very good point, no arguments there. I was being genuine when asking if I had the right bloke that's all, as I didn't feel, at least based on the clip and only the clip, that a few of the responses matched what I saw that's all.

As for what happened before the footage started, they were probably arguing about why they didn't choose to go to rainbow instead

Well the vision clearly shows Robbo throwing one first, fair to assume the wrestling bout preceded that.
I'm only guessing but looks like Robbo has crossed the line first, considering they're roommates.

I can't tell anything, simply going on a gut feel here, they are mates so the other bloke wouldn't have expected Robbo to punch him.

Maybe you can help us with those numbers considering you've just pulled "the cheap shots" leading up to the footage line of argument out of your you know what.

It's getting to the point where something's gotta be done about these alcohol fueled events and AFL players. It was only a couple weeks ago that a few were involved in an incident in bay 13.

I didn't say that is what happened, just trying to postulate what may have happened considering you seem pretty ready to condemn him. As I have said you can't tell from the footage what happened in the lead up to where it began, it isn't like Robbo was standing there for 5 seconds before he swung his punch. I have seen plenty of fights between guys where they would stand there, taking turns at throwing a punch. I also doubt the guy would have stopped recording exactly where they stopped showing it (eg before they were pulled apart) so the footage could quite well be edited to make Robbo look as guilty as possible.

Saw him a few times and seemed well behaved, was happy to take photos with fans. He was walking through the area behind the entrance to the mosh while The Killers were playing and a disabled man said hello, Mitch was so nice about it and stopped to chat for a bit. The man didn't have a phone so Mitch gave his phone to someone else to take a photo of the pair, and then he was talking to the mans carer about trying to send her the photo.
But of course that won't make the news...

So tell me this, if he was drunk (as you say) do you think a guys carer would allow the young man to spend any time chatting to Robbo ??? And how drunk does Robbo look ???

Hard for anyone to say either way as you don't see anything in the lead up to the punch being thrown. The guy's singlet was already torn so it's fair to assume something had already happened but we don't know what.

Thought I was actually being quite tactful here, oh well..
One of my lines of work entitles me to take an educated guess on what really went on, i.e scuffle between mates, Robbo not handling well not winning said scuffle and punching his mate, the other bloke retaliating in a shifty manner.
I'll come back and apologise if I'm way of the mark here.
