Gawn as well, surely? I think harves probably had too much faith in Weber, he's trained us into the ground, and now harves is gone.

This's the bit that I'd really love to hear more about. It'll be very interesting to know whether Harves gave Weber full reign or if he dictated to him what he felt was the right level of training etc.

As I said on another thread, everyone is focussed on Harvey's tactics and media image but this is one of THE key issues that saw him removed IMO.

The other mystery around this, is through all the brutal training how the hell did Jonno end up with a gut! Was there diffrerent levels for different people?

Yeah I think we need a new fitness guy. He probably did train the players to the ground which lead to so many injuries. Another issue I had was he had little background in fitness conditioning for AFL players.

Coaches usually have their own fitness guy and the Saints apparently have a good one but will depend on if he has a contract/out clause.

The overtraining was probably coach driven.

Robocop is huge about recovery time, about managing your load etc, he's not an idiot. After the fadeouts in 2008 i think we've always pushed to overtrain rahter than undertrain
