Rocca played 156 games for Collingwood with a return of 514 goals before the Magpies delisted him at the end of the 2000 season.

He was selected by the Roos in the national draft and enjoyed a solid first year with the club, playing 21 games and kicking 48 goals.

Rocca signed a one-year deal with the Roos after last year's draft and received a base payment of $37,000 and $1900 a match.

Just imagine, Fuds creative mind, two SA tyros for the forward line keen to impress and the Big Sav storming out from full forward to mark at full pace on the chest from a Kane Johnson bullet like daisy cutter pass!! Not to mention the hand ball over the top from Benny Hart (Howd he get out of that tricky situation) and that crunching hip and shoulder by Ricciuto that created passage for Bickleys little give to Johnson!!

I doubt the Crows are resting on thier laurels in a quest for a Full Forward thats tried and tested.

Yeah, that is the sticking point with the interstate sides I think. He displayed disinterest in the trading period to move away from Melbourne, but u never know. He would be quite handy for Adelaide, that is for certain.

Rocca would have been handy, but he was never going to leave Melbourne (& his mummy). Hopefully we can get Fitzy firing @ FF next year as the kid can play (when fit). With Stevo @ CHF & Angwin also an option, the forward line should have some much needed marking power. Also, with Jars taking forward training, they should have a more effective structure than this year. Bring on 2002!

Seen Fitzy on the Sport tonite - Crows pre season training. Hes bulked up a lot during his injury time.
