I get it - people hate being called whingers or excuse makers - but it's been there for all to see. And boy has it drawn some angry responses.
There is a reason there have been no other Geelong supporter interactions like that this year. Because Carlton supporters have vehemently declared that all we found out is Geelong are pretenders. They may well be - the odds of any specific team winning the flag are incredibly low - but it goes against the consensus views formed after the weekend's match. All that we learned are that both sides are strong but flawed, with Geelong executing the clutch moments better in their first face off this season.
