Ronnie Burns is in my BBFL side, which is basically a fantasy footy thing were only goals n behinds are counted.

Due to a massive amount of injuries to my players this week I really need Burns is there any chance he will play? How's he been going in the SANFL?

Burns has been burning (excuse the pun :) ) with the Port Adelaide Magpies in the SANFL in the 2 games he has played with them.

He's a real chance to play this week, especially as we have a couple of injuries.

He'd be in my side.

I'd say there's a fair chance he'll get an opportunity this week. Been playing well with Port and with a couple of injuries during the game on the weekend there might just be a spot for him against Sydney.

Geez I really hope he gets a game. I have a squad of 12 players and 3 of them got injuries on the weekend. Another player has a long term injury too so I only have 8 fit players and you need 8 a game.

He was average in his second game. Refused to get the ball himself and waited for teammates to hand the ball to him on a platter. Didnt run, or chase, or tackle, or help out his teammates.

One of the most selfish players ive ever seen.

And was named as a best player in the paper

For a man who is not biased you are full of it.

You struggle to ever say anythinggood about Crows players playing for the Magpies.

I take what you say with a pinch of salt.

You go girlfriend!

I won't hear a bad word about my Ronnie, a valued member of the mighty Footscray Browns.

If you want more info on the BBFL go to the Bulldogs board (actually if you want more info on the BBFL you should probably get a life but hey it's the internet so that's probably a given).

Did you see the game?? Were you there were you?? No...didnt think so. So how the f*ck would you know how he performed??
They also named Simon Peucker in our best players and he had 5 goals kicked on him and his opponent took the most marks on the ground and was 2nd BOG. Good for you if you take what the Advertiser says as gospel!! Congratulations.

Ronnie was excellent in Round 1. Was selfish and poor in Round 2. Just because he had a lot of the ball doesnt mean he was excellent. He made a lot of clangers, a lot of poor handballs (wasnt alone there), had a pathetic show pony attempt at goal which cost us momentum and a shot at the lead, and failed to chase tackle shepherd or do any of the 1 %ers do help out his teammates. The week before he was basically BOG. I dont see how that is biased or me being "full of it".

But thats ok. You beleive the Adevertiser. Its not like theyd ever say a bad thing about your widdle Crow superstar draftee.

Very good point Stiffy, Ronnie must play as a crumbing forward, not as a midfielder.

tahts an interesting one. He hasnt left the midfield for the Magpies yet im assuming under instruction from the Crows.

The one position he really hasn't played pre-season or for the Maggies is his correct one - forward pocket.

Is it part of a clever long term plan to get him super fit or is it just plain stupidity?

Interesting point macca 23, i really don't understand why he hasn't been used as a crumbing forward either. He played his best footy there under Ayersy at the Cats. Its not as if we need an extra midfielder right now

Part of the recruiting strategy was for more goalkicking options as that was our weakness last season, and thats where i see Burnsy making an impression.

Anyway the coaching panel have the savvy to get the best from him, I just cant wait to see some of that Burns magic and the finger waving as he boots another clever goal!!

If you read what I said you will see I didn't actually make a comment on how he played merely that your perception was a bad one and that I didn't find that surprising.

This was a reaction not just to the report on Burns but on other reports on players you have given over the years.

Don't have a cow man.

Its not like you and I ever really agree on much now is it??;)

hey if ronnie burns doesn't get a call up the coaching staff has a problem. in the 1st and 3rd quaters last week we needed a spark, if ronnie was playing it could of pulled it of and we could of won. he has that abilty to pull a game out of a hole and win it with a bit of burns magic. the side may need it this week vs an in form sydney

To steal a line from 1 of the nobs on your board.

"On this board we can say what we want about our side and opposition sides..........if you have a problem with that you don't have to visit..........."

While I agree with the first part of your posting, I would hate to think that we are that small minded and precious that we can't accept different points of views from other club's supporters, even if we don't agree with them.

I actually think they add something to the board by having a different point of view. My only qualification is that they aren't abusive, because when visiting another team's board then that is a lack of respect and common courtesy.

The same should apply to us when we visit other team's boards.

Treat them the way you want to be treated. If they pick on you stand up for yourself!!!!!!

Yeah...good point.:) I just had a look on the Powder board and our own DaveW who just gave his opinion on Mark Williams appearance on talking footy and they jumped down his throat something chronic....geez...
